chapter 4: the questions

I walk downstairs "hey mom" I say as I'm just waking up
"hey Nicole your up early?" She smiles
"yea its because I'm meeting up wit a friend" I say kinda shy
"oh who's this friend?" She smiles even bigger
"um...his names kian" I look down
"oh its a boy? How old is he?"she said As she asked me 25 questions
"mom he's 18 I'm 16 its fine" I tell her "and mom its not like were dating were just friends" she looks away
"ok you leaving now?" She asked as She looks back at me
"yes mom bye" I race out the door and grab my skateboard and ride off. I arrive at kians house and knock on the door "hey Nicole" kian has a big smile "hey kian what do you wanna do today?" I look at him with a smile "I don't know maybe we can go to the mall?" He says as he grabs his skateboard
"I would love that! Um...I mean sure" I said awkwardly. We get to the mall and look around
"kian can I ask you something?" I look at him with a serious face "yea why?" He looks all worried "well can I..." And my phone cuts me off
"um... I should answer this its my friend Rakayla"
