Maddie and Sebastian has been gone for quite a long time but Oliver's rants about life made it seem twice as long.

"Are you even paying attention to me?" Oliver says, as I directly spill punch onto my blanket. I groan in frustration, throwing the blanket onto the floor and grabbing some large jacket on the side. "Um, that's mine-" I make a cold face. "It's all yours."

"Do you think something dramatic is gonna happen?" I ask.

"I don't know," He says

"Ugh," I pant, "I seriously hope Liv is okay, but mainly cause she's my ride home for tonight and you know how much I hate busing."

"Look, we can't just jump into conclusions, all we can do is just give them some time to work it out and be supportive about their decision."

"Hey guys," Maddie says gently.

"How did everything go? Are you okay? Do you wanna talk about it? Do I need to beat Sebastian up?" I say.

"Well, we broke up, but there's no need for your fists because we both decided on this."

"I'm sorry," I say, giving her a small hug.

"I think you should go talk to Sebastian," Maddie tells me.

I raise my eyebrow, "Why?"

"Cause he can use your comfort," She says but I'm still as confused. "Just go," Giving me a little push, I almost fell onto the sand but something catches me.

"You okay?" Sebastian laughs.

"Yeah," I say, letting go of his grasp. "So I-uh-heard what happened with you and Maddie. I'm sorry."

"It's fine-wait-you didn't come to beat my face right?" He asks to clarify.

"I came to check if you're okay."

"Really?" He says surprisingly.

"Just take the kind gesture," I jump in. "But seriously, how are you holding up?"

He shrugs his shoulders, "Alright," I nod my head as I let out a small laugh from a past memory. "What?"

"It just amazes me how well you're handling this compared to what happened before," I try my best to not take it too far.

"I guess this experience was...different."

"Cause you matured?" I spit out some crappy response.

"Cause I got you here with me."
