Mérante and Odette

Chapter 3

Odette knew Mérante for ages. When she was a young student at the Opera before the fire, he would always come to watch her dance. He thought she hadn't seen him but one day Odette approached Mérante. They both fell in love with each other from that day onwards and always watched each other dance
As they grew up Mérante was asked to do a duet with a girl. He had chosen Odette.
However while they were performing a fire came on stage. Debris fell on Odette and Mérante went to help her, when he saw her leg he was terrified.
She was immediately taken to hospital and told she had a limp. The both of them started to drift off from then. Mérante still thinks it was his fault. Mérante still lived Odette but she didn't want to be a burden on him so she became a cleaner.
