𝒊'𝒗𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒅𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒂 𝒘𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒆

Scott lands next to the witch when he jumps over the buses and she grabs his arm before dragging him down into the preserve, running after him when he takes off running. "Scott!" Aurelia calls, sliding to a stop next to him as he drops to the floor. "Hey," She says softly after he lets out a scream and he moves to hug the witch who gently wraps her arms around him. "It's okay." She mutters softly. 

"No, it's not." Scott responds and she sighs softly, gently brushing a hand over his hair. "It was Allison's Dad." He says.

"I know." She says before her phone beeps, and she pulls it out to check it without letting go of Scott.

"What is it?" Scott asks.

"Delaney. Jackson just ran up to the school with Lydia, covered in blood." Aurelia says. 

"Go. I'll be fine." Scott says, moving away from the witch and she puts her phone away. 

"Hey, look at me. You know I'm not going to let anyone hurt you, right?" Aurelia asks and he nods.

"I know, Lia." He says before hugging her again, briefly but tightly. 

"Be careful." Aurelia says quietly and he nods.

"You too." He responds before getting up and running off and Aurelia sighs before making her way back up to the school. She heads over to Delaney and Isaac when she sees them in the parking lot by her car. 

"What the hell is happening?" Delaney asks.

"I have no idea. Let's go. I need to get you home." Aurelia says, glancing at Isaac and he nods, both teens moving to climb into the back of the car and Aurelia hesitates for a moment, looking around the parking lot before climbing into the car. 

They drive in silence to Isaac's, Delaney getting out to say goodbye when they pull up before climbing into the passenger side when he's in the house. "What's going on?" Delaney asks.

"Allison knows." Aurelia says, pulling away from the curb. 

"What?" Delaney asks.

"She saw Scott shift. Your dad and another hunter both came at him from either side and he shifted when he jumped out of the way. Allison saw him and Scott ran and I followed him." Aurelia explains. 

"Jesus." Delaney says. 

"Look you need to go home and I need you to force your way into getting involved in this. If you can at least run interference on that side," Aurelia says.

"Yeah. Yeah, I will." Delaney says and Aurelia nods. "How did Dad know about Scott? I thought he thought it was Jackson." Delaney says.

"Jackson told him. He was drunk and he told him. I heard his thoughts. It's why I knew to go look for Scott." Aurelia explains. 

"Where's Stiles?" Delaney asks.

"God, I don't even know." Aurelia says, rubbing her face with one hand. "This wasn't supposed to happen. I was so careful. Scott and Stiles weren't supposed to get dragged into this mess. I'd kept them so far away from it all for so long. They weren't supposed to find out. They were supposed to be safe. And now one of them's running around the preserve half-shifted and I don't even know where Stiles is." Aurelia says. 

"It's not your fault, Aura." Delaney says. 

"I shouldn't have let them go out to the fucking woods. Or I should have gone back to help Scott. If he hadn't gotten bit, none of this would be happening." Aurelia says. 

"Yeah but then you'd still be lying to them." Delaney says.

"I'd rather that than this." Aurelia responds. "Anything's better than this. It's a fucking one-way ticket. And the only way out is in a body bag. And half the time, that happens long before it should." Aurelia says.
