Ever since Jake had gotten that phone call, he had been frantic, losing you was one thing but the fact that his child was coming into it was a whole other thing.
Of course, everyone else was doing what they could to try to help but none of them had any clue whatsoever about where you could be.
You had heard the phone call he had with Jake, and what the man had said was terrifying – only you and your doctor knew that you were pregnant, so how that man knew you had no clue.
The man was pacing the floor in front of you, occasionally glancing back to you as if to make sure that you were still there, but it wasn't as if you could do much with your hands bound behind you on a chair.
"Sir, whoever the hell you are, please can you just leave me alone and let me go?!" you questioned exasperatedly, having become sick of his pacing.
He whirled around to stare right at you. "Your precious fiancé deserves everything that is going to come to him."
"He's done nothing to you! We've never met, how did you know where to find me or even about my baby?!"
The man's smirk unnerved you as he slowly walked closer towards you. "You can't even think about the things I know."
And with that the conversation was done and the man disappeared from your view.
Back at the nine nine Jake was convinced that he had a lead – a few months prior he had put a man away, a man who was running a small drug ring, but the right-hand man had never been caught.
For obvious reasons Jake's head was an absolute mess but as soon as the captain had an idea of a location, he was right to the car with Terry fast on his heels.
"Jake, you need to calm down," Terry told him as he drove, and as Jake went to respond Terry shook his head. "If you run in there like a mad man, this guy is more likely to hurt Y/N than if we went in with the rest of the team."
Jake groaned in frustration, burying his head in his hands and tried to breathe.
Within a few moments they arrived at the warehouse that the ring used to operate out of, Jake was the first out of the car, but Terry managed to hold him back until the others arrived.
The man in front of you had resumed his earlier scheduled pacing and you were getting increasingly stressed because you had no clue how Jake was going to find you or how he'd even go about finding the kind of money the man had asked for.
Your wrists were hurting obviously, after hours of having ropes tied around them and the struggling of trying to get out.
Noises from the outside of wherever the hell you were caused you to sit still, as if that would mean that you could hear clearer.
Your breath caught in your throat as the doors were slammed open from either side of the room; the man made a break for you but stopped short when Rosa tackled him to the ground.
When you saw Jake running towards you you felt like crying, and you could feel some tears falling.
"Baby," he breathed out as he cupped your face. "Oh my god."
He made quick work of the ropes around your hands, as soon as you were free you fell into your fiancé's arms.
"I am so sorry," he whispered into your hair whilst he held you as tightly as he could. "I am so sorry that this has happened to you."
You shook your head in his chest, gripping the back of his vest essentially reassuring yourself that he was there and that you were safe.
Jake reached to lift your chin up so that he was looking at you. "This will never happen again baby, you are too precious," he whispered as he rubbed the pad of his thumb against your cheek.
A smile graced your face for the first time in hours, and more tears of pure relief fell down your cheeks.
"And this baby," he paused as he tried to collect himself, even though he had cried already. "This baby will be the most loved and protected baby ever."
