Traffic at the Pier

Chapter 13

AVA

When I reach the door with Vanessa by my side I see Luke leaning on is car looking as good as ever focusing on his phone

"Hey" Vanessa says and he looks at us from his phone "Hi" he tells us but he's looking at me

"You look pretty Ava" I feel my cheeks flush

"Thanks, I know" I tell him confidently and he rolls his eyes

The drive to the house is about fifteen minutes long and the street is full of cars and people just walking towards the house.

The music is booming from inside the house and i immediately regret agreeing to come, I have never had seen this many drunk college kids in one place, but there's always a first time for everything....even partying with drunk people.

I'm gonna regret this.

"Is everything alright?, you kind of look constipated" Luke tells me driving away my train of thought

"Oh nothing, I just don't like crowded places"

"Don't worry stick with the group and you'll be alright" what the group, by that I hope he meant us plus Chris and Jace

"By group you mean?..."

"You, Vanessa, Jace, Chris, Destiny and I" great, Vanessa is leaving me alone with the guys and she's gonna go off somewhere with Destiny, I still don't have a good vibe from that girl .

We walk through the inside of the house and approach the backyard and I see that there's a lot of people that are swimming in their underwear, I should of brought a swimsuit I've been wanting to go for a swim for a long time

"What's up" Jace calls us from inside of the pool right next to Chris

As we walk closer to the pool I can see what seems like Destiny just making out with some random guy but I don't pay much attention to them.

"Hellooo bitches, i have arrived so you guys are finally gonna be able to have some fun" Vanessa tells them being all hyped up

Yep, I'm gonna be by myself all night "Wait is that Ava?, you came to a party?, hold up I think the end of the world is near" Chris says acknowledging my existence for once. After he says my name Destiny appears from behind them and gets out of the pool

"Hey guys!, Ava that shirt is so cute, I'm gonna have to steal it later" she says with a huge smile and directly goes to hug Luke "Destiny stop you just got out of the water"

"Come on its not that big of a deal" she keeps trying to hug him and I look to my side at my best friend and you can clearly tell that she's annoyed by Destiny being so touchy with Luke, and she really needs to stop it gets annoying, the least they could do is get a room.

Shortly Vanessa takes off her dress and just jumps on the pool after telling me to step back and she splashes Luke.

"What the fuck I didn't wanna get in" Luke scolds at Vanessa and she flips him off. I grab her dress and shoes and put it behind a bush and I take her phone with me so no one takes it

I notice I'm the only person just standing here without being in the pool and Luke has left to clean the water off himself

I decide to walk back inside the house to find Luke but some girl with long brown curls calls me "Hey you with the Flower shirt"

"Yes?"

"Are you down to play beer pong with us?" I look around to see if Luke is my sight but since he isn't I agree. I suck at this game, I have played it so many times with Carla and Vanessa and each time we played I lost so I already know I'm gonna be drunk by the end of the night.
