Jungkook was out of the hospital two days later, and Taehyung, Jimin and Yoongi kept going to check on him. Yoongi apologised for treating him like he did, but Jungkook just shrugged it off and forgave him. It was now the last day of school before they were to have two weeks of holiday, but Jungkook and Taehyung had to go to an hours detention after school.

"Ugh, seriously? Detention on the last day? Ridiculous." Taehyung groaned as he walked through the corridors with the other three.
"Just be glad you weren't expelled." Yoongi added, and Taehyung flipped him off, receiving one back.
"Let's just get this day over with." Jungkook said, and they all nodded, apart from Taehyung.

Taehyung never really much liked the holidays, because his friends would all go home to their families. Taehyung has no family to go to, and the last thing he wanted was to see his dad. He couldn't stay with Jimin either because his parents were very strict, Yoongi was always abroad as well, and this year he was taking Jimin with him. It meant that Taehyung would be left at the school, being forced to help out occasionally, for weeks on end.

He sighed to himself, but shook the thoughts off as they walked to their last class. Tae, Jungkook and Jimin waved Yoongi off, before going into the classroom.
"Hey Taebear." A girl flirted with him as they walked through the door. Taehyung rolled his eyes and noticed Jungkook step forward.
"Back off." Jungkook said in annoyance, and Taehyung smirked.

"Oh, is someone jealous?" The girl sneered, and her friends giggled.
"No, you're not his type. Come to think of it, you're not mine either, so you can go now." Taehyung said mockingly, and the girl humphed and pouted before storming back to her seat. When they walked to their seats, Jungkook smirked at Taehyung.

"Who are you to tell me who my type is?" He chuckled, and Taehyung raised an eyebrow.
"What, your 'type' is that? I mean, be my guest, but you'll get absolutely no sympathy from me." He laughed, and Jungkook rolled his eyes.
'He has no fucking clue.' He thought to himself as he looked at the older, before getting prepared for class.

Once their class was finally over, every student cheered that it was the holidays. Apart from Taehyung and Jungkook of course; they had detention. They met Jimin and Yoongi, who were spending the holidays together, to say goodbye to them beforehand.
"See you bro, don't get too bored without us." Yoongi said, fist-bumping Taehyung.

"Yeah, we'll call you every now and again." Jimin added, giving Taehyung a quick hug. Taehyung smiled.
"Enjoy your holiday you two. I'd appreciate that, considering it's likely I'll be alone with a nerd or two for a couple of weeks." He sighed, chuckling slightly. Jimin then turned to the youngest, who looked slightly puzzled at Taehyung's words.
"See you in a couple of weeks Jungkook." Jimin said, and Jungkook smiled.

"Yeah, cheers for letting me hang with you guys." Jungkook said, and Yoongi nodded while Jimin bro-hugged him. Jungkook and Taehyung waved them off, before heading off to a history classroom where they would have their detention.
"Well, you get to be stuck with me for a whole other hour." Jungkook chuckled, and Taehyung rolled his eyes.
"Lucky me." He muttered sarcastically, before they both laughed a little and Jungkook jokingly punched his shoulder.

"How's your ankle now Tae?" Jungkook asked, noticing that Taehyung was limping slightly.
"Much better now, still sore though." He replied, and Jungkook frowned. They reached the classroom, and were met by a teacher that was relatively new.
"You're here for detention? Well, no messing around, no ta-"
"No talking and no communicating yeah yeah we got it." Taehyung interrupted, and the teacher looked angry as the two students passed in front of him.

"Don't be cheeky with me Kim Taehyung, or that'll be another hour. I may be new but I know the rules." The teacher said firmly, and Jungkook could see that Taehyung was trying hard to hold in his laugh.
"Of course sir, I wouldn't dream of it." He replied in a sarcastic tone, making Jungkook giggle quietly.

"I'm not paid enough for this." The teacher muttered under his breath as they sat down at their desks. The boys were forced to sit on opposite ends of the classroom, and they were given sheets of work to complete.
"You will not leave until you have completed all three of the worksheets. Only once they are done can you exit the classroom." The teacher announced, and Jungkook lowered his eyebrows.

"But sir, what if that takes us more than an hour?" He interjected.
"I said no talking! If you want to stay here longer you're going the right way about it!" The teacher yelled, and Jungkook just raised his eyebrows before starting the work, as Taehyung laughed dryly at him. They worked through the sheets in silence, and Taehyung finished within minutes (as per usual) and was immediately bored.

He looked over at Jungkook, who had his head still bent the first sheet. Taehyung grabbed a piece of scrap paper from the floor when the teacher wasn't looking, and he scrunched it up into a ball. He then proceeded to throw it at Jungkook, who span around and glared at him.
"Don't you dare." Jungkook mouthed to the older, who was struggling to contain his laughter. The teacher noticed and frowned.

"What did I say about no communicating? That does it, I'm getting someone else in here to watch you two." The teacher scowled, before storming out of the classroom. They couldn't hold in their laughter anymore, and they burst out laughing almost simultaneously.
"What's he got up his ass?" Jungkook laughed, watching the teacher storm down the hallway.

"Not a clue. Shall we get out of here?" Taehyung said. Jungkook looked at the clock and bit his lip.
"Dude, we still have half an hour left, and I don't want to get caught." Jungkook said, and Taehyung rolled his eyes.
"Have you done the sheets yet?"
"No?"
"Give them to me."

Jungkook handed Taehyung the worksheets, a little puzzled, and Taehyung filled them out with quick succession from his own answers.
"Here. The teacher said we couldn't leave until we're finished, and now we're finished, so let's leave before he comes back." Taehyung said, and Jungkook smiled before they both escaped out of the door.

They ran down the hallway to the exit, avoiding the teachers and getting out successfully. They stopped to catch their breath, chuckling.
"Nice." Jungkook chuckled, smiling at the older. Taehyung laughed, but his facial expression soon changed.
"Ah, I guess I should say goodbye now, I should be heading back in." Taehyung said, and Jungkook was confused.

"What do you mean? You mean to collect your stuff?" He asked, but Taehyung shook his head.
"I wish. No, this is basically my home. I never leave this place, because I have nowhere to go." Taehyung said plainly.
"Wait, what about your family?" Jungkook asked, but he noticed Taehyung wince at the question, the older's almond eyes reflecting what looked like sadness.

(Trigger warning: abuse)
"I have none. Well, I have my dad, but I never want to see him again. It hurts to even call him my dad." Taehyung said, feeling angry towards the memories of his father.
"Why?" Jungkook continued, and Taehyung sighed.
"You ask too many questions. Well if you really want to know, he abused me as a kid after my mother died when I was only four. After ten years he sent me off to a boarding school, and after that I got sent here. I haven't seen him since, and as far as I know he doesn't know where I am." Taehyung explained, and he was shocked when Jungkook suddenly hugged him. The younger tightly clasped his arms around Taehyung's waist and looked up at him.

"Stay with me." Jungkook said, and Taehyung was confused. He felt oddly warm in Jungkook's embrace.
"No, I couldn't possibly. You're parents will hate me, and I haven't even got any of my stuff ready. Besides, you've helped me enough when I didn't deserve it, so don't worry about it." Taehyung said, but Jungkook just let go of him and shook his head.
"I don't mind helping you. I literally had to pull you out of the roof a couple of days ago." Jungkook chuckled, and Taehyung smiled and rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment.
"Oh god don't remind me, that shit hurt. But your family-"

"My parents won't care, they love anybody. Get some stuff ready, you don't need much." Jungkook said, leading Taehyung up to their dorm.
"But Kookie I-"
"No buts, I'm not leaving you here alone."
