Steve x Alex MINECRAFT FANFIC (SFW)

Loss

As the melancholy notes of 'Sweden' slowly fade into the now dark, tragic world Alex solemnly typed a command in the chat "/weather set rainy"

The rain pattered down mixing among the couples' tears making it impossible to tell which is which. Through heart-throbbing sobs, Steve managed to place down his best friend and the source of his joy slowly into the grave.

Once he stood Steve couldn't help but notice the dog's once white as snow fur was now matted with dirt, blood and being soaked by the rain. Through silent tears, Alex began planting daisies around the grave.

     "It's time Steve" And Steve let out an agonizingly loud scream and through heavy tears, as he knelt on the ground, fists clenched said, " It wasn't his time to go he shouldn't have died, IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ME!"Alex looked over to Steve " If you don't do it now it'll only get more painful."

     Steve gulped down the last of his pain approached the grave and slowly, with the dry piano continued in the background, put souls sand over the grave. Followed by a sign that read 'death follows us around the world, here lies Rover R.I.P

Steve and Alex stood arms at their sides and both took turns telling their favorite memories of Rover, the way they met and tamed him, the way he always tried to help out building the house, how he would eat bones from skeletons whole, and of course how he defeated the iron golem. As the couple sit telling memories Steve for the first time since Rover's death smiled at the thought of Rover being happy once again. Talking about happier times the weather clears to neither of their notice and as the clouds open up a single ray of sunlight hits the couple, around them the daisies blooming, as if Rover is smiling down on them.
