Young Justice Daughter of the hawks

Ch. 11

                                                   Alicia POV

"Alicia what are you not telling us?" Hawk woman said with concern

"Ummm..." I said looking in a daze 

"you can trust us," Hawkman said 

"Okay, I might as well since your bound to find out," I said jumping off the bed

"But you need to promise not to freak out, Okay?" I said 

they both nod 

"Okay..." I said 

I unwrap the blanket from my body and slowly start to unzip my hoodie,I'm taking deep breaths I'm facing them so when I take off the hoodie they won't see right away I throw my hoodie on the bed,

"They hurt....," I said 

"What does?" Hawk woman said 

I turned around so they could see my wings,

I heard both of them gasp,

I was looking down because I know that the jig was up, I thought 

"Alicia?" I looked up to see Hawkwoman in front of me 

"This is very important, how long have you had them?" She asked kind of desperate 

"Since I was born, I guess," I said looking up at her with my puppy eyes 

"But...." I said trailing off 

"What is it?" She asked 

"They've been hurting me really bad," I said looking up at her 

"May I have a look?" Hawk Man said concerned 

I nodded 

"Can you open you're wings?" I nodded 

I felt him holding my right Wing in his hands, 

I look over my shoulder, Hawk woman was looking as well,

with concern in their eyes,

"Can you stretch them out as far as you can without hurting yourself?" Hawk woman said 

I nodded doing what she asked 

"How long have you been keeping them covered?" Hawk man asked 

"all the time," I said 

they look at each other concerned 

"I'll be right back," Hawk woman said 

"Alicia," Hawk man said kneeling in front of me 

I looked up at him,

"Sweetie, you can't keep covering them, it's not good for you're wings, they are cramped and if you keep covering them you could really damage them," He said 

"Do you understand?" He asked 

I nodded 

"Why did you feel you needed to hid them?" He asked 

"the foster home I used to live at," I said looking up at him 

Just before he could say anything the door opened,

revealing Hawk woman and the martian manhunter 

"Alicia, John here is gonna make the pain go away okay," Hawk woman said 

"But..." I said  rubbing my hand up my arm nervously 

"It's okay you can trust him," She said smiling at me 

I nodded 

John made his way to my wings, his hands glowed as he touched my wings the pain got duller and duller till finally it was gone,

"Thank you," I said 

"No problem at all," John said 

he left I started rubbing my eyes I was getting sleepy,

Hawk woman picked me up,

"Let's get you to bed, then tomorrow we can talk," She said 

I nodded with that everything went black,

                                     Hawk woman POV

we tucked Alicia in and left to another room, 

"Carter it's her it has to be," I said pacing back and forth 

"I know shayera but let's not jump into this at once," Carter said 

"Remember she's just a child," he said 

"I know she's ours she's even the right age, and her wings they match," I said 

"I know," He said hugging me 

"We will deal with this one day at a time but for now we must rest," He said 

I nodded and with that we left to get some sleep
