Chapter 1 Redstone plans

Mumbo's POV
Hm... I could do another AFK farm... I say looking at the paper on my desk. But there's already 10 AFK farms. I say with a sigh. 
Ugh... Maybe there's a build I haven't finish yet?  I say getting up from the chair.

I walk to some cabinets and open them all.  Each one had a redstone plan that I had already done.  Well... Looks like I have none that are incomplete. That's good... I guess. I circle around my work room where I think of my idea's for Redstone creations. 

Maybe I can make a random... Dare.. Machine? I say thinking about the idea.  I get that idea out of my head because... Who would do that?  I sit down in defeat and sigh.  There's gotta be something I can do... I mutter to myself.  After hard thinking.  I hear fireworks outside.  I get up and leave the room. 

I walk outside to see Grain. "Hey Mumbo!" Grain says. Hey Grain. What are you doing here? I say waiting for a response.  "Just wanna see what you are doing. Because I haven't seen you working on Redstone and all that." Grain says. Well... I'm thinking about what I could do for my next creation.  I say. "Wow. Thats rare." Grain says.  Yea it pretty is for me to be thinking of an idea. I usually have an idea ready. I say. "Hm... What about a giant spoon that can get soup" Grain says. Are you just saying that because almost everyone calls me a spoon? I say looking him straight in the eyes. "Ya" Grain's says.  Wow... His eyes are actually pretty beautiful... "Mumbo? You there?" Grains says.  I snap back into reality.  U-uh... Yea I'm fine... Kind got lost in my thoughts.. I say rubbing the back of my head. 

"Alright. Well... How about you make another base?" Grain says. Hm.... Alright. Maybe I could make it underground and add some other stuff... I say.  "Ok. But I'm gonna go fly back to my base." Grain says getting his rockets out. Alright. Bye! I say. "Bye Mumbo!" Grain says waving at me as he flys away.  Well... I should probably write that idea... I say going back inside.

I make it back to my work room and sit down at my desk.  I grab a piece of paper and write what I should add to the base.  But I stop and decide to keep thinking.  There was nothing wrong with Grain's idea.  But I made so many bases. I stop and try to think of an idea.

I was probably sitting there for like aleast 10 minutes thinking of an idea I can do.  I started to get irritated.  Usually I'll have an idea of what I can do.  But today my mind was blank.You know what? I'll just see what I can do. I could get an idea while I'm making it. I say stressed.  I get up and head to the door.

Right as I was about to leave.  An idea popped in my head. I can make a giant jack-o-lantern! I say quickly walking back to the desk.  The idea was childish.  But Halloween was coming so just to get in the spirit.  I write the idea down and take it with me.
I go to my storage room and get alot Redstone,pistions,repeaters, and other stuff. Now... I just need some orange clay and green clay.  I say getting my rockets. I should go to the shops and get some clay. I say already in the air. 

I land infront of the shops and walk to the building blocks shop.  "Hey Mumbo!" Iskall says running to me. Oh. Hey Iskall. I say. "What are you doing here?" Iskall says. Just getting some colored clay blocks. I say. "For one of your creations?" Iskall says. I nod. "Cool! Well... Gotta go!" Iskall says taking off. Bye! I say.  But he already flew.  I sigh.  Time to get some clay then. I say.

After I got the clay.  I fly around to see if there's an open spot. 

After a while.  I find a spot that looks good.  I place down my shulker box with all my redstone in it.  Well... I should get building. I say.

So this was the first chapter of this story.  Not the best.  I know.  I usually make books about another ship.  So I'm still new to this ship.  Also... It will be different from hermitcraft because I never watched hermitcraft before.  I only know who Mumbo and Grain are.  So if I mess up on something.  You can tell me so I know.  It could be anything. Like the characters personalities. Or other things. I also made this book because there's not many Gumbo books. Like... Not much.  Most of the Gumbo books are oneshots.  So I'm gonna add another story.  Another reason why I'm making this book because it's underrated. I could see them together. Not in real life. But i do ship them. UwU

Question. For the characters in the book. What are there personalities? Like I know Grian is funny, short, and pretty childish. Probably wrong but hey.  So It will be nice if you guys tell me so I could try to make this story better.
