a couple things to keep in mind when posting on instagram:
- since cellphones weren't a thing before the 2000s, selfies weren't either. take advantage of the self-timer option on your phone, or have a friend take photos of you! (also the option of buying a polaroid camera or hand camera to use)
- grain!!!! adding even a little bit of grain to photos gives it an old, nostalgic feel. that and making things not as sharp and clear
- full body photos > just the face! show off your clothing because that's one of the most important factors of this aesthetic
apps you can use to edit your photos:afterlight
1967as well, vsco would be a really helpful and almost entirely free app to use, especially for blurry and grainy qualities!
