I could see the look in his eyes
the worry that laid there

His voice calling out
to not give up my fight
but damn did it hurt

No words were spoken
he didn't have to
I could see it clear as day
in his eyes

The doc kicked him out
telling him to get rest
he was worn and beat
needed a shower too

I worried about him
the horses did too
not leaving me alone
waiting outside the doc they did

What's another scar
to the ones I have now
I need to pull through
but sleep is calling my name
and whatever takes the pain away......
