It is over twenty years since we met
I was a little boy when we first knew each other
You were brown, beautiful
I remember those kids who used to call you mzungu
All the memories that we shared
We were like twins caged together by love
By humour,
All the nights we spent talking about our future
You remember us talking about how we will spoil our mum and dad?
You remember we used to double chef when mum was not around?
We have many things in common,
You were the first girl to tell me am cute😂
So that I may smile when we had a fight
I miss how close we were
I miss when we used over six hours just talking nothing
I miss how we walked the nature walks up to kanyengya hill
Just to pass the damn time.
But I understand
I have failed too
I have just grown up,
And it seems that someone takes alot of my time
I think someone else takes your time too
Am about to get a girlfriend
Maybe beautiful than you
But please don't be jealous
I hope when she comes she will be your sister
Just as your boyfriend will be my brother(if he behaves😂😂)
I hope you will spend moments telling her about me,
The good things and the bad too
Tell her to take it or leave it
But I promise you I wont say anything bad about you
