ITS MY COUNTRY
its my country
From 1963
Extra judicial killings are more than 1963
Murderers fled
Later arrested then freed
Don't we feel for the freedom fighters?
I feel like am watching a action series
Because after every season a character dies
But its my country
I have to love it
How many corrupt politicians we know
Yet we always give them power
Because they come from my tribe
They disguise their actions
By giving us a small portion
And we get convinced
But its my country
I have to show concern
Politics is a dirty game
They say..but we take their clean money
If we don't lead who will lead
We will fall in their able hand
Hands able to destroy your visions. Hands that kill dreams of youths mercilessly
Poets need to lead also
If one can critically and creatively
read then he can lead critically
Because its my country
I have to give my view
We don't have to demonstrate
For justice to prevail
We don't need people to be our greenlight
Yet we know what to do
But its my country
I have to protect her dignity
How many fake pastors we know
Yet we hide them
How many fake friends we know
But they are our friends
Its all fake
Maybe Chinese have had impact on us
But we can be together
Collect ourselves into one
One being
One country
