Prologue: The Wolf Mate Games

The Wolf Mate Games is basically a way set up by the council for wolves to find their mates.

What happens in The Wolf Mate Games is simple, you find your mate. How? That's less simple.

You see, the females involved in the games get it pretty easy, all they have to do is go to a house located somewhere in a big forest area and act like a damsel in distress... *blergh*

The male's part... slightly less so. Let me explain:

The males are set off at a post ten miles away from any female at the games, if they are strong enough and powerful enough they'll get to their mate within only a few minutes, if not it can take days! The male unmated population has to go around sniffing the surface of everything they can get their paws on! If the male has a lot of power it will be easier, he'll have more heightened senses so can smell their mate from further away. It's not so great for the omegas who just spend a week sniffing every piece of grass and building they see. I think is kinda cruel, but who am I to judge the rules?

All I have to do for a week is sit back and wait, once I've found my mate we need to notify the near by council members and sign some forms.

But there's always a chance of rejection, if one of you wants to reject the other you fight for dominance, the one who gets the other to submit gets to choose what happens with the mating bond, complete or break, it's their decision but it's either you mate with them then and there or you walk away as they lay on the ground. There's not even a way out of the fight, even if you try to run it will be shown as a sign of surrender and the other will have full control over the outcome.

My names Katya my father if the Alpha of 'The Red Moon Pack' and this is my first year at The Wolf Mate Games. I'm Hoping to find my mate this year so that I don't have to come again. I don't really know if I want a Mate. My friend Imogen has sworn to reject him unless my mate is some how closely related or best friends with hers and my other friend, Dhelila, doesn't much want a  strong mate.
