Now, won't you stay?
Do you truly have to go?
I wish to see each day,
You and nothing more so.For I could not bear to say,
Farewell of any tone,
Now won't you stay?
And not leave me alone? It's difficult because,
It only hurts too much,
Goodbye is such a loss,
Never to see nor touch. But then I can't keep,
For you are not mine,
And so I'll only weep,
And drown in wine. Now you won't stay,
I'll only tell a lie,
I'll only wave and pray,
There is no good in goodbye.
