. Chapter 08

I'm still sad because I still didn't get notified that I updated (even when I tried again, my friend still said that they didn't get notified) and well, this isn't the first time that's happening :(

It's probably going to happen with this chapter too but I can't penalise those who actually get the updates so, here you go! I'm really excited for this :)

Yesterday, after playing with Chris and my mates, I returned home with the intention of finding a way to heal Chris

Abel(Zane's beta) and I now stood in front of a house far from the alpha house but still in my pack land; a house where I was sure that I would get appropriate treatment for my son's wound.

Abel was a bit nervous because.... We were going to meet Alaric Clause, a rejected, vampire and witch hybrid

I knew for sure that Alaric was going to help me because when I was 18 and him, 15, Alaric was searching for a place. I took pity on him and gave him a land in my pack wolf, far in the wood.

It was far from the other wolves and at that time, I didn't trust him.

He told him that he will forever be indept to me.

As years passed, Alaric became less feared by my pack members. He can actually leave his house and go to the pack's shopping mall to buy things without wolves jumping on him

He has helped me many time to heal wolves and in exchange, we're like his family.

I told him to move close to us but he said that he loved the peacefulness around here.

Abel didn't like him too much because well, Abel was scared of vampires....and witches..and fairies...and-

Tsk, my beta was scared of anything that wasn't wolves

But.. He's a great guy!

I knocked on the door and pinched my lips when I heard crashing sounds

Minutes later, the door opened and I blinked before letting out a deep laugh as I saw his head covered in flour

Alaric had gorgeous red hair and pale purple eyes. He had permanent pointy canines and right now, the 5'0 boy was hissing at me, his purple eyes flashing red in anger.

Abel growled as Alaric bared his teeth at me while my wolf snorted.

I flicked Alaric's head and just like that, the little witch's eyes became purple again

"Z-zane!!! Look at what you did!" He whined, stomping his foot before walking inside and I followed him in amusement, cringing at his messy house

"Ah sorry about that" He said sheepishly and as soon as he clicked his fingers, all the fallen objects started going to their places

"Is it too late to hire him as our maid, Alpha?" Abel whispered sneakily and he yelled, covering his head when a vase flew toward him, crashing against the wall

"I heard that!" Alaric yelled and Abel looked at me nervously

"He heard me! Ah shit, vampire" Abel whispered and I chuckled

Everybody was shocked when I chose Abel as my beta because he wasn't exactly known for his bravery but I knew how loyal Abel was

He was brave and he never abandoned me

After returning from the alpha camp, it was hard to trust again but Abel easily slipped his way into my life without me realising

He acted like a friend and when I was freaking out because I was going to be an alpha, well, he freaked out along with me because I had told him that I had chosen him as my beta.
