A Different Way (Nate x Reader)

Dan's p.o.v

I groan slightly, feeling Phil leaving the bed. The season's over, I'm growing a person, I'm staying in bed. Phil taps my shoulder and I open an eye, seeing him smile and kiss me. "you have an appointment today, I don't want you to be late." I sigh, kissing back and swinging my long, slender legs over the edge of our bed. I suddenly have a burst of energy and stand up, rubbing my eyes before yawning and grabbing a slightly big black sweatshirt. One of my own merch but it was really comfy. Phil chuckles at me, seeing my slightly sleepy state. I flip him off before taking my pills and grabbing my phone to scroll through twitter.

Phil yawns and checks his phone, muttering about the season being over and winter about to start. I shrug it off and smile a little, feeling some stirring. Little one must have woken up, or that's my stomach asking for some nutrition. I get up and look at our options, looks like its either bran or lucky charms again. I choose lucky charms, anything tastes better than bran at this point. Phil sits up in his chair, furrowing his brows at something. "What is it?" He shakes his head. "Just some really out there thoeries of our realationship." I nod, the fans are like that.

I yawn and finish my bowl of cereal, bringing it to the kitchen and setting it down. I look down at my nails, painted black from yesterday. I smile, feeling Phil wrap his arms around my waist. "when do we leave? it seems too early for an appointment." Phil chuckles and kisses my neck, prompting me to push him off. He smiles and hands me my jacket and shoes. I put them on."you slept till twelve, Dan. Your appointment is at one thirty." I nod and get ready by the door. Phil grabs a bag and my hand, heading out the door. We take a train there and wait for a bit. Feeling awkward, I pretend to text someone and Phil chuckles at another dog video.

The nurse calls us back and we shuffle around, because we're literal giants. The nurse asks me to lay down on the bed and I do. She was nice and asked me if I was ok with her touching me, obviously I said yes. She put on a pair of gloves and I lifted my shirt for her, seeing my little bump in the process. She smiles kindly at me, grabbing a bottle of gel. "Fair warning, this is gonna be freezing cold." I nod. I noticed the girl was american. She drizzled it on my bump, she was right, it was cold. She chuckled at the goose bumps that spread along my skin. She grabs the wand and presses it onto my bump, smiling at the monitor. "I thought you were a little big for being only 14 weeks. Looks like I just found out why." I bite my lip. What was that supposed to mean? reading my expression, she turned the monitor where two small little grey blobs resided. I felt myself tear up, noticing Phil do the same. "Congratulations, guys. You're going to be having twins." She says and we boh smile.

We go home and I cuddle into bed again. I'm so happy, of course. I mean, part of me is anxious but I'm ignoring it. I sit up and realize that I need to shower, sorry bad you'll have to wait. I sigh and get up, getting into the shower and almost moaning at the hot water beads hitting my knotted shoulders. I feel some shuffling which makes me smile, knowing that the little ones are active in there. I suddenly feel a tap against my skin and I jump, noticing it's just Phil. "C'mon, dannosuar we've got to edit still" I sigh and cut my shower short. Knowing the editing needed to be done was nice though. I sigh and look over the various emails on my mac, god why do people have such stupid requests for skaters. I notice an email from Mark and open it. I miss my coffee, but Mark's email was merely asking me to be at the rink tomorrow to help train Sienna. I reply with yes because I'm nice.

Nate's p.o.v

I yawn, Y/n had dragged me to Lilac and Oakley's house. As to why I don't remember. I think it was some sort of announcement. I rub my eyes and Y/n looks over at me. "Nathan did you hear?" She asked, I shake my head. "No, sorry I spaced" Oakley chuckles. "Lilac's pregnant, Nato" I smile, though it was a weak one. I was happy for them but I'm really tired. I have barely been able to keep up with Y/n lately. Though when I interrogated the girls they simply said that their parents had been giving them trouble. Guess that was wrong.
