Chapter 2 part 6

Fei Sheng Zhe walked to the door of the research room, holding the lunchbox. He felt a little embarrassed and expectant. He didn't know, if Shi Yi Jie was going to enjoy the lunch he had personally prepared.

He was about to raise his hand to knock on the door, when he heard a conversation from within. He didn't want to hear it, but ended up hearing some words, like 'archeological equipment', 'golden opportunity', 'don't miss it again' etc.

The raised hand fell slowly.

Inside the room was Shi Yi Jie: "Didn't you know that this was still in the fundraising phase?"

The other male voice said: "There is great interest in your archeology work! They even offered to pay the expenses! The ancient civilization of Shanghai is very interesting!"

The room was silent for a while. It was obvious that Shi Yi Jie was talking.

The other male voice said again: "You have already missed an opportunity due to your marriage to Feng Zi. You should take advantage, this is a unique opportunity. If you are worried about your absence, hire a professional nanny.  Didn't you say that the nanny you hired recently was very good? Isn't it safe to leave the girl with him? "

Xiao Fei heard the conversation through the door and wondered if Shi Yi Jie would be able to leave his daughter Yo Yo, for him to take care of her, and go to do the archaeological study. How long would he stay? One month? One year? Two years?

Yi Jie replied: "Give me some time to think"

The other man's voice was discouraged: "Good, but you must make a decision as soon as possible"

At that moment, someone got up from the chair, the steps approached the door and Fei Sheng Zhe backed away quickly.

A strong man appeared dressed as a jungle explorer. He looked at Xiao Fei, nodded in his direction and left.

Sheng Zhe was trying to enter the research room when an assistant approached him completely ignoring his existence.

She enthusiastically said: "Professor, would you like to have lunch with us? There is a new restaurant on the street near the school! The food looks delicious"

Shi Yi Jie walked to the door and saw Sheng Zhe. The man smiled and said to the assistant: "It is not necessary. I already have someone who brings me lunch"

"But it will be a good lunch. Let's have lunch together professor!"

The assistant really had an insistent tone. Sheng Zhe heard her speak.

"You don't have to invite me to lunch. Thank you for your kindness." Shi Yi Jie politely invited his assistant to leave the room, took Sheng Zhe's hand and led him into the research room.

After closing the door, he asked the boy: "Have you eaten yet?"

Fei Sheng Zhe collapsed with a bit of surprise and shame, and shook his, head handing him the wrapped package.

Xiao Fei never expected that Yi Jie, in fact, refused to have lunch with his assistant because he preferred to eat a homemade lunch made by him.
