bad news

I wake and get in the shower, throwing on a black tee and black jeans, I sit on my bed and check my phone "4 missed calls, 5 unread text messages" I read thru the messages and look thru my missed calls I dial Sidney back she doesn't answer, I call again "hello? "Sidney.." the phone connection is bad "chase.. its bad..my dad..uh I" she begins breaking down, something's up " where are you sid?" I ask before she hangs up "their taking me to the hospital on mockingbird 111th" and with that she collapses hanging up the phone. I text Jake telling him that something's up. Jake picks me and we go to the hospital on mockingbird "Sidney Chrome?" I say at the front desk "210" me and jake rush to the elevators floor level 2 and arrive at room 210 "Sidney" I yell running in the room, hugging her so tight she gasp an exhale. She's covered in scratches, I can tell she's in pain "what happen" I say releasing her, the doctor and nurse scurry me out " she was in an accident you'll have to wait in the waiting room on the first floor no visitors until 1" "sid.." they shove me out the door. Jakes looking at me with heartfelt eyes he pulls me into a tight meaningful hug, I really need this I hug him tight and scratch at his back tears begin falling lightly out my eyes " I love you Jake, stay in my life forever please" I look into his eyes "never will I let you go" he hugs whispering in my ear I lay my head on his shoulder and we take the elevator down stairs to the waiting room I doze off by the time I wake its 1:30 we can go see her now "you go I'll be fine" Jake says picking up a magazine. I take the elevator to floor and go see Sidney, I walk thru the door entering her hospital room "Sidney.." I say approaching her hospital bed "what happen, you ok" I just wanna pull her into a hug "yeah..im fine" she says calmly I can't stay calm when my best friend is in a hospital bed "what happen".. she begins her story and their was a car accident..swerved off the road in just glad she's ok. Jake has been waiting down their for an hour so I say night to sid and me and jake go back home " I think when sids all better we all should go out to eat" I say
