Madison

I started getting ready for dad's dinner with his fiancée also known as my stepmother.

Ew.

I finished my makeup and put on my outfit.

A grey knitted sweater and leather pants. Perfect, like me.

"Miss, they are here." A maid says, knocking on my door.

"I'll be down in a second." I say, adjusting my lip gloss.

I went downstairs and met them at the door.

A pretty woman standing next to my father smiles at me and calls her daughter in.

So, that's my stepmom? Atleast she's pretty.

"Jade, come on." The woman says and I was caught off guard.

Jade.

I kept my face emotionless as the bitch walked in.

No way.

"Father? Is this-" I trail off.

"Maddie, meet Fiona and her daughter Jade. I heard she goes to your school, too." He smiles.

Yeah, no shit.

"Hey, Jade." I smiled, sickly sweet.

She grimaced before hiding it and waved at me.

"Jade, don't be rude." Her mom says.

"Fiona, this is my daughter, Madison." He says.

As if that's not obvious enough, father.

"It's nice to finally meet you!" She says and gives me a hug.

I kept my hands at my sides until she releases me.

"Likewise." I mutter.

I glance at Jade who looked like she'd rather be anywhere else.

Great. I have a freakshow as a stepsister.

"Let's go to the dining room, shall we?" Father says, trying to ease the awkwardness which obviously radiated from Jade.

We all nod and made our way to the dining room.

We talked about some stuff as the staff bring in the food and we begin eating.

I occasionally gave curt nods and agreements but sometimes I join in on the conversation.

Though, I kept glancing at the time.

Just one more hour.

"Jade?" Father pipes in. "I heard you have a boyfriend. I would like to meet him sometime."
