Alex's POV
I was working on a book I had an idea for. It was pretty early in the morning but when I get good ideas I have to write them down.

*writing noises*
"Alex?"

I didn't know I was being that loud. My friend, Eliza, peered into the dark room behind the door.
"Alex what are you doing it's 10 pm?!"
"I'm working on something," I said back.
"Yeah I can see that. Is that your story?"
"Umm- Eliza."
"Aww is it your story about you and John!"
"Maybe."
"Aww, so cute! But can you please go to bed, you type too loud."
"Sorry about that but I can't go to bed now."
"Ok I guess." She turned around to walk out of the room.

"Wait!"
"Yes, Alex?" She said as she walked back in the room.
"Can you get my phone from the charger?" I asked.
"Sure."
"Thank you!"
"No problem." She smiled and left.

I turned my phone on and went to my messages.
2 new messages from John Laurens
11 new messages from John L, Lafayette, and Hercules M
What are they even talking about?
(John L)
JL: Sorry about what they're saying in the group chat.
I promise it's not true...

What is going on?
(In group chat / HM- Hercules Mulligan JL- John Laurens L- Lafayette AH- Alexander Hamilton)
HM: Hey John want to show us your collection?
JL: what?
HM: Don't act like you don't know what I mean.
L: yeah show us your collection ;)
JL: WHAT COLLECTION?!
HM: The one of your crush.
L: it's ok John you can tell us anything.
JL: STOP IT
HM: Just one drawing please!? I heard you're really good at drawing small Caribbean boys named Alex.
JL: STOP IT HERC
L: not even one?
What? Did he just say that John draws me?
AH: What's happening?
HM: Johnny is a little embarrassed.
L: do you guys want to come over right now
HM: Sure.
JL: look who said yes right away...
HM: Shut up you bottom.
AH: Ok then. I'll come over too.
JL: me too!
HM: Look who says yes now...
L: Ok guys see you all soon.

*at Laf's room*
"Laf how did you get your own dorm? And why are there 3 beds?" I asked.
"I'm not sure."
*doorbell noises*
"It's open!" yelled Laf.

Hercules Mulligan walked in with his beanie on and sweatpants. His usual outfit.
"Ahh mon ami. Is that a new beanie?" Laf asked.
Hercules blushed and said,"Uh yeah."
"It looks nice," Laf was smiling a lot more than usual.

"Did John say he was coming?" I asked because I don't want to third wheel them all night. Also I love spending time with him.
Hercules laughed and winked as he said, "Yeah he's coming all right."

"So... what was that thing you guys were talking about on the group chat?"
"Well. We went to his house last night and surprised him as a late birthday present."
"And you didn't invite me?!" I asked.
"No you said you were busy,"
"Well if you told me what you were doing I would have gone," I said angrily.
"Yeah you really did miss your boyfriends birthday surprise."
"Hey!" I said secretly wishing it was the truth.

"Anyways so when he opened the door we went to sit down at his table. There was a sketchbook and when he went to the bathroom we might have looked at it." He explained.
"And?" I questioned.
"Let's just say... He likes to draw you."
"A lot," Laf added.
"Oh, o-ok."

"He caught us and got really embarrassed and mad. He promised it was just for fun and nothing else. He also made us say we wouldn't tell you but..."
This is weird.

*DoOr bEll*
"It's open!"

John Laurens walked in. His curly hair is held back in a ponytail and he's also wearing sweatpants. He looks so sexy with his hair like that. I could see the outline in his sweatpants.

"Hey."
