I don't get scared. I've never really have but lately, there is someone that makes me want to put a nightlight in my room.

 He is a complete monster.

I barely can move around him. I stand there wanting to run but to paralyzed to do so. It's a phenomenally to me. It's a new feeling and I don't know what to do with it.

I stand there, pale-faced, shaking.....and he gets closer. I hold my breath when he passes me. He has a white smiling mask, not the kind Villains usually wear. Which makes it even worse. He looked right at me too. For a split second.

My stomach turns inside out.

A brief second turned into an eternity real quick, as I stared right at the pure white mask. I felt judged when he looked away. He then walked straight into the warehouse, from my sight. Like nothing had ever happened.

It's not easy doing this job. I'm someone's goon, following their orders until my demise. It's not like I necessarily want the job but its good pay.

I do the job well too. Not like I get any praise from it but I am better than the other henchman around these parts of the city. I don't believe ALL henchmen are bad at their job since I am one.

I'm just stating some facts. That I'm the best.

Following instructions is the easiest thing ever. When you don't really care what they are.

"Shoot that."

"Shoot him."

"Shoot her."

"Wear this explosive bomb."

The orders I get are pretty straight forward. There is no need to really think on them. If I did I'd be dead already. A little hint, don't hesitate with a Villain's orders. If you do, you're the one wearing the bomb next time. I personally don't mind it. Others do.

It's pretty easy getting plans and orders done....when it's done properly. There are times things don't go as planned because one of my co-workers screws up.

As a "responsible" henchmen I try to fix what they did wrong. I don't necessarily want to be yelled at, or randomly killed. Its sorta dangerous being around stupid Villains all the time.

I really do need a new job.

With all my thinking I realize I just need a new job. A job where my life isn't in danger. I look out into the long line of trees, should I just leave? Be done with my endless torture? I give my co-worker a look. I could leave. Or maybe I should resign first....

"I'm going to give the boss a report," I tell him. He gives me a quick nod.

I walk into the warehouse, knowing where the boss is. And I'm going to tell him...

"I quit."

I walk over towards his door, no regret at all. I'm about to open it, remembering he got pretty upset last time walking in on him. I raise my hand to knock and right before my knuckle hits the door I freeze up.

Why is he behind me....
