Chapter 24: Trouble With Vipers

Jax's Pov)

I had waited outside the Hotel knowing that King and Axel will somewhere else at the time.

Hearing the motors of Charisse and Shred's bike I looked up. Seeing the two come to a slow. "MainStreet Alley." I pointed with my thumb West to the direction of the club hangout.

"It isn't a pack house but its a club,trailed the Necro's there." I add. Shred sighed looking West. His hands resting on his thighs.

"Still haven't gotten your knife back?" He asked me. I glared hard at him. "Do you think I could?" I snapped

Shred sigh looking away from me.
"Sorry Jax...my memory isn't to good." He apologized. I nodded. "Don't sweat it Shred,I'm just stressed is all,Victor has been lying lately...I fear for him." I fessed.

Charisse looked at me listening to me. "I think he's afraid of losing his authority,ever since you know the bond with-" "-Charisse...we aren't supposed to talk about that." Shred warned cutting Charisse off.

"I know...Victor had always been afraid to lose control around me." I shrugged. My pack and my clan had no idea I was Rouge.

"We still have to do a little more snooping,to find the HQ of the Necro's." Shred Mentioned. I nodded plopping myself on my bike.

Lighting a cigarette and taking a short drag. I started my bike up and road out taking lead.

It had been several hours of patrolling. Charisse went out into the bars,Shred was checking out the clubs and I listened to the Necro's dealers.

The HQ would be found in the sewers,beds,practically homes for the Necromancers,it gave them the room and freedoms to practice their cast.

I thought to myself as me Shred and Charisse met up again.

"The HQ is in the sewers,heard hear say from a few druggies." Shred mentioned. "Heard the same from the boys playing pool." Charisse fixed her bandana.

"Dealers,are dealing Black Death around these parts. If we can make it noticeable for the Council to sniff out we won't be dealing with them anymore." I sighed.

Shred nodded. "I wish you could see her Jax." Charisse sighed. "It's killing you and I'm sorry that Victor won't let you have her." Charisse looked at me sympathetically.

My gaze locked with Charisse's. "Ive had enough of Victor...this clan is falling to ruins...we hardly have enough money to pay for gas,and groceries,were selling drugs for goddess sake,and he lied to me." I groaned running a hand through my wild hair.

"All I know is Jax,were with you,Jeff,Ash,me Hazel,Isis...if higher power fails you are our leader." Shred hailed.

I felt a surge in my heart. Charisse nodded. "If worse comes to worse your the voice of reason Jax."

I sighed a small smile forming. This is what needed to happen.

My phone began to ring. "Hello?" I answered hearing a deep rumbling voice. "Axe..hey." I smile slightly. "Hey kid...our house,weapons and..everything...Necromancers..."My face fell.

"Vipers teamed up..." Axe groaned. "Axe are you alright?" I asked. "I'm fine Kiddo,just get to NewYork,bring Shred and Charisse." He ordered.

"Charisse,Shred head to New York...now Pack house,Axe might be hurt." I say quickly looking frantically for King and Axel.

*KING!* I yell in my mind. *Jax where are you?* king asked me. *hotel...NewYork get there fast.* I said dangerously fast as I sped away.

Hearing Axels and Kings motorcycle in the distance. I sped up the wind whipping at my clothes. Fuck!! Fuck!!

I shouted in my head. Shred and Charisse were two miles away. I didn't bother trying to catch up. I was pushing my bike as fast as if could go.

*whats wrong Jax?* king asked me. *My pack was attacked Axe is hurt,Necromancers,Vipers,Im not so sure..all I know is that Axe doesn't sound to good.* I explain.

As the sun started to rise the next morning I refused to stop. I had ditched my bike for running out of gas soon enough I was in wolf form,now ahead of Shred and Charisse.

I was far from the road and from Humans eyes. My claws dug into the wet earth as my gaze focused on the city I was approaching. I slowed down shifting into my normal form and landing on The back of Charisse's bike.

"Can this thing go any faster?" I asked Charisse trying to speed it up. "Not anymore running low on fuel,Shred is losing control of his bike.

Shred fell off the bike and landed on the road. He scrapped up his skin I managed to catch him. I shifted into my half form to carry him.

"Thanks." Shred sighed his heart was pounding. We were now in town me and my comrades were tearing through the ground.

Axel and King were close behind. The three of us looked at the destroyed pack house. Bike prices and the GreySuit Symbol. It was an upside down Y with a U horizontal facing the right.

"GreySuits..." Charisse looked shocked. "Shred call your brothers." Charisse ordered. I pulled out my phone calling West and East. "Jax!! Thank goddess your okay!" I heard Isis sigh in relief.

"Victor...Isis where is Victor?" I asked her dangerously. "Excuse me?" Isis asked. "Axe,Victor,Inertia...where is everyone?" I asked.

"I don't know,the pack house was just attacked Victor fled out the back Inertia was taking care of Axe,everyone else went to hide from the GreySuits,you should too...come East." Isis politely ordered.

I turned to the other two who just hung up their phones. "Yes Alpha." I sighed. "Goodbye Jax." Isis sighed. I looked at Shred. "West is fine but everyone is heading East." I looked I Charisse. "South is also heading East."

"Victor is nowhere to be found." I snarled. Victor you coward!! I don't know why I was feeling this way. I had only minor reasons to be angry but it was almost as if it was just because he was an Alpha.

My wolf my inner spirit and Rouge was challenging him! "Jax,we have to head East,Isis is setting up a bunker to hide from the GreySuits..." Charisse held onto Shred he was almost skinned. His back was bleeding heavily and half of his head looked raw and bloody.

"Take Shred and go,I have some business I need to handle." I sigh. Charisse looked concerned for me. "Tell the others that Im looking for our Alpha." Charisse nodded. Before shifting in her half form and jumping on top of a roof.

I looked around the wreckage. Seeing the GreySuit symbol pissed me off. Viper scent and the smell of death was putrid.

I walked around the ruins. Seeing spilled Chem Crystals. It was the drug we were selling. I felt my head start to put things together.

Blood was dried and some was burnt. We were fighting,small Energy burns in the wood and cinder block proved to me that GreySuits had guns.

I sighed closing my eyes.

~We were sorting the drugs,Everyone was on the down low,uneasy of the GreySuits. When they broke down the doors everyone drew their guns and the energy fight commenced.~

I looked around further. Had they made an arrest? I looked around more to see signs of personal struggle. "Jax." I turn my head to see King. A saddened expression on her face.

"What is it?" I asked carefully. Stepping over a large beam of metal. Walking towards her she refused to look me in the eyes.

Axel looked extremely nervous and chewed at his fingers. I pulled Kings face to face mine. "King...."
