It was night. Betty was asleep. Jughead couldn't sleep. Betty was laying with her arm and half her leg down the side of the bed. Jughead was laying on the other side of the bed staring into the roof. He'd slept over. Or slept and slept. Betty was peacefully sleeping, Jughead couldn't.

He couldn't wake her up to ask her, could he? No of course her couldn't, and even if she was awake he still wouldn't ask her. He didn't have that much courage. As he was looking up into the ceiling he suddenly felt Betty twist and turn. When he turned his head to look at her he saw that she was already looking at him.
"Juggie Why are you awake?" She whispered into the dark.
"I could ask you the same" He whispered back
"I had a nightmare" She turned her head up towards the ceiling
"Wanna talk about it?" He asked concerned
"Not now. What about you? Why are you awake?" She had turned her head back towards his.
"Can't sleep" He answered shortly not wanting to talk about it either
She gave him a peck on his cheek before turning around
"Goodnight" She whispered
"Good-nigh-t"
He could feel her twist and turn trying to find the prefect position.
He could ask her now. But if he asked she could ignore him, or say no, it would be weird to just say "yes" right? 10 minutes went by until he decided to ask.
She felt someone tapping on her shoulder and silently whispering her name.
She was ignoring him, or that's what he thought.
"Juggie?" She asked turning her head to him.
"Betts, ehm can i- ehm could i-" He stumbled out
"Can you-? She smiled
"Can we... Cuddle" The moment his words left his mouth he regretted it.
If it wasn't so dark, Jughead would be able to see the grin spreading on her face.
She'd heard the insecure in his voice making it at least 10x cuter. And just as he started doubting himself she leaned in to peck his lips before pulling herself closer to him.
They were laying body to body, and Betty were guiding one of Jugheads arms to her waist, his other arm went over her head. She grabbed one of his arm holding it like a teddy bear close to her chest, making Jughead only being able to think about how close his hands were to her boobs.
It didn't take long until Betty was asleep.
Realization hit Jughead when he took in her smell, Vanilla and strawberry. He was laying in Bettys bed, Betty in his arms, holding her close. 'I could get used to this' he thought. This was all he wanted, and all he had wanted the last few months
He quietly whispered to her neck the 3 famous words
"I love you" Yes they might have only been together for a month but he knew he loved her, and he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. But still, he hadn't the courage to tell her yet, so a whisper to her subconscious was enough for now.

Jughead woke up first Betty still in his arms. He didn't bother looking at the clock, it was Saturday anyway. He slowly drifted back to sleep. It's been an hour since Jughead woke up, when Betty woke up. The memories from last night made her smile, he had been so cute asking her.
She slowly untangled from his arms sitting up at the end of the bed. A loud groan heard from Jughead.
"Bettyyyyyy" He winced
"Yeah?" She chuckled at him
"Come back, you're warm" He mumbled. Betty smiled at him and his cuteness
"Jug we got stuff to do"
"Just five more minutes babeeee" He mumbled again. He didn't even realized what he called her, but she did. The nickname just rolled of his lips like it was nothing.
"Betts can't we just lay in bed all day? What stuff do we have to do?"
"I- nothing" Before she could say anything more Jughead caught her and throw her back to the bed.
"You're stuck" he said as he pulled her on top of him. Receiving a kiss from Betty.

"Who knew Jughead jones was so cuddly?"
