Even though they were married, they felt as if Queen Elizabeth I was more of a mother than a wife. She was the only one who knew they were genderfluid and supported them. She was the one who helped him through his panic attacks. She was the one who helped her realize she can be strong, even as a girl. Most importantly, she raised them/him/her to be a better person who could make a difference.
