Rusty felt Pink lean her head against his shoulder, and he smiled. Leaning back, he pulled her closer. At this moment, the sun setting in front of them, he finally felt something, something real. He felt at home.
A few moments later, he was standing in the basement, beside his friends. They all were confused at first, but came to their senses quickly, and walked up the stairs to the laundry room. After opening the door, he stopped dead in his tracks, and his friends bumped into him.
"Rusty, What's wrong?" Pink asked, concern leaking from her face. He didn't say a word, he just stared at the emptiness before him. How hadn't he noticed?
"Something's wrong." The Void started.
"Someone's here."
