Chapter 17

Hannah's POV:
I woke up with a huge headache and a weird pain in my stomach.
"Lauren,"I said but my voice was really quite.
She apparently heard my quite voice and walked into my room.
"What's up,"she asked.
"I have a really bad headache and my stomach hurts really bad,"I replied.
I felt like I was going to throw up.
I felt it coming and I ran to the bathroom.
I threw up ewww.
"Hannah do you want to stay home from school,"she asked.
"Yes please. Can you get my homework after school?"I asked.
"Sure but you'll be home by yourself because dad's on the business trip,"she reminded me.
"Yeah that's fine I'll just stay home,"I told her.
"I'll leave like $20 on the table and you can buy yourself some pizza. Okay,"she said.
"Ok thanks bye,"I said.
"Bye I hope you feel better,"Lauren said, and with that she was out the door.
Now that I think about it, Lauren hasn't talked about Nash much....I'll have to ask her about that.
I checked my phone and saw that I got a text from Nate and Hayes.

Hayes😁: good morning beautiful hope you have a good day at school

Me: thanks Benjamin but I'm sick

Hayes😁: what did I tell you about that nameeeee?!?! But you should come over I'm the only one home 😏😏

Me: fine but no funny business

Hayes😁: you sound 5. Just come over

Me: fine I'll be there in about 20 minutes

Hayes😁: see you gorgeous

Then I checked my text from Nate.

Nate😞: I know you're mad but don't come crying to me when Hayes breaks your heart AGAIN

I just didn't respond to him and got ready.
I just put on leggings and a Davidson Day Sweatshirt.
I brushed my teeth and brushed my hair.
I applied some light makeup.
Then I grabbed my phone and the money Lauren gave me and started walking to his house.

Hayes POV:

I'm kind of excited Hannah is coming over.
But I'm still dating Kylie and yeahhh.
But I was kind of mean to her and I want to make it up to her.
Once she got here she set her stuff down and sat on the couch.
"Hey Hannah do you want to take a walk to the park,"I asked her.
"Sure,"she said smiling.
On the walk their I grabbed her hand and she immediately shook my hand away.
"Hayes you have a girlfriend,"she told me.
"Oh yeah sorry,"I replied.
Wow Hannah is beautiful.
How did I not see that? I'm a real fuck up!
Once we got to the park we saw a group of kids.
Wait those aren't just kids, those are my friends.
Shouldn't they be in school? Tf
"Hey hayessss,"Bryan said.
"Hey why aren't you guys in school,"I asked.
"Ditching again,"they said.
"Oh I see,"I replied.
I then realized Hannah was hiding behind me.
"Hey who's behind you?"Nick asks.
"Ummm Hannah,"I replied unsure.
"Hayes what did we tell you?"Nick said.
"Hey we're friends she is actually very nice,"I tried to stand up for her.
"Hayes do you want to be popular,"Nick asked.
"Pshh of course,"I replied.
"Then tell her go home. Or else we'll ruin you,"Bryan said.
I turned around,"Hannah you should go home,"I said.
Shit. I just blew her off.
"Okay,"she said quietly.
Fuck now I feel bad.
She just started walking home.
Oh well I'll talk to my friends and desk with her later.

Hannah's POV:

Did he have that planned all along?
Just to take me to the park and then ditch me.
It started to sprinkle.
Oh crap I wasn't wearing a coat.
Ahh I'm getting really cold.
It all of the sudden started pouring.
I decided to take a shortcut home.
I went to cross the street and the last thing I remember was hearing a car horn beep and then it all went black.

Nate's POV:

I was walking home from school and then I saw ambulances on the road.
I wonder what happened.
Me being the nosy person I am I walked up to the ambulances.
"Excuse me sir do you know a girl named Hannah?"a police officer asked.
"Yes yes yes I do is she okay,"I asked.
"Kind of but do you have her guardians phone number because she didn't have a phone on her so we didn't know who to call,"he said.
"Yes I have her sisters number because her dad is on a business trip and her mom passed away,"I replied.
"Okay give me her number quickly,"he said.
"Okay it's ***-***-****,"I told him.
"Thanks you may come with us if you would like,"he asked.
"Sure I will,"I replied.

Hayes POV:

I got a text from Nate while I was at the park.

Nate😁: HAYES Hannah got hit by a car and I'm in an ambulance with her and we are driving to the hospital.

Me: WHAT HOSPITAL

Nate😁: Northwest county. ( A/N I made that up not sure if it's real)

Me: ILL BE THERE ASAP

Nate: okay

I texted Nash and told him to come pick me up since school was out.
He freaked out a little but eventually calmed down and said he would be here in 10.
Once Nash got here I got in his car and we drove to the hospital.
Tbh I was freaking out.
"So she got hit by a car?"Nash asked.
"Yeah,"I replied quietly.
Once we got to the hospital I ran to the lady at the front desk.
"Hannah,"I asked.
"Last name?"she asked.
Ummm Idfk that.
"Walling,"Nash said.
"Sorry but she's in surgery right now she should be done in about 20 minutes,"she said.
"Okay thank you,"I replied.
I sat there waiting for the longest 20 minutes of my life.

Hannah's POV:

I was awake laying on a bed but I couldn't move.
I couldn't open my eyes I couldn't move a muscle.
Then I heard someone come in but I don't know who.
"Hey baby girl,"it was hayes.
He came over to my bed and held my hand.
His hands were so warm.
Then I heard some other people come in.
I soon figured out it was Nash, Lauren, and Nate.
Then someone else came it. (A/N people people people coming in)
"We have some good and bad news,"a lady who sounded like a doctor said.
Shit bad news.
"She is going to be okay but she is in a coma."
"For how long,"Nash asked.
"We don't know. It could be a day, or maybe weeks,"the nurse said.
I heard someone who sounded like Lauren start balling.
I hope I'm going to be okay.

Hayes POV:

It's been 5 days.
5 shitty days without her.
I broke up with Kylie, I'm not eating or talking.
I just want to talk to her.
I wonder if she can hear me?
I don't know but I just like to pretend she can.
"Hey babe. I really want you to wake up. I know you probably are still mad at me for ditching you at the park but I love you. I know I've been a jerk to you a lot but Hannah, please wake up. I need you,"I began to cry.

Hannah's POV:

I could hear everything Hayes was saying.
It made me so mad that I can't talk back.
It kills me. I just want to see him.
I just want to be out of here and back home.
I want to see my dad, Lauren, and Nash!
I WANT TO BE AWAKE

Nate's POV:

Hayes and I were just sitting in her room and Nash and Lauren were getting food.
All of the sudden, the heart monitor started beeping like crazy and the line was flat.
"WE NEED A NURSE IMMEDIATELY,"Hayes and I start yelling in a panic.....
