Chapter 2

I walk the corridor of the school, flooded by students greeting each other after 2 months of summer break. Some are looking for their classroom before the bell ring or girls retouching their make up in the bathroom. I'm starting to get lose in the halls as I head to the office to get my schedule.

And after the event that happened earlier, I'm still mad at that guy.

I mean who is he to act like a total jerk? Like he owns the place. You know what? Just ignore him.

Don't let that black haired jerk ruin your day, Y/N, don't let him.

I reach the office and see a few teachers and staff working from the inside. I went inside and greeted by the smell of coffee and lavender. The front is busy by teachers doing finale preparations and checking if anything is right before starting the first day of school.

I don't want to interrupt so I sat at the waiting area, next to a guy. I place my bag on me lap and waited. I've been having glances on the guy next to me. With the glance I made, I see red marks on his knuckles. A sign that he came from a fight and looks recent.

I don't want this whole moment to be quiet and I don't want to be the new girl shy. So I spoke.

"Look like you've been into a fight" I said.

The guy next to me look at me and look to his hand and responded, "Oh this? Yeah. I did"

"What caused to fight?" I questioned.

The guy shrug and answered, "Is because of a jock try to seduce my sister"

I turn to him in disbelief and said, "Really, in the first day? Wow"

The guy nodded and explained, "Yeah, this guy is a quarterback and a pervert. Always sleeping every girl he sees"

"If that was my sister, I'll literally crash his dream. And probably cut his jerky" I threatened. But literally I'll cut it, or maybe eat him if he ever tried to do that to my sisters and female cousins.

The guy look at me and asked, "You have any siblings?"

I turn to him and answered, "Yeah, about..." I look up and started to count my fingers "...6"

The guy's eyes widen as soon I told him how many my siblings are "6? Wow... That's so many"

I chuckled and joked, "Yep. A lot of running demons"

"Let me guess, you're the oldest?" The guy guessed

"Well, 3rd oldest" I corrected "The oldest sister, Selena, is at the Harvard and the 2nd oldest is at Lake High. Probably flirting with her crush" I explained

"Tell me, anyone single in your siblings?" He asked, wiggling his eyebrows.

I giggled, "Yes, loads"

"Well, can you please give me the fabulous ladies number?" He joked and both of us laugh. "Kai. Kai Smith" He offered a hand to shake.

I took his hand and shook it, "Y/N. Y/N L/N"

We let go and I look to the table, seeing the teachers gone and the stuff working on the computer.

I turn to him and said, "Well, is nice meeting you Kai"

"You too, Y/N"

I went to the counter and said that I'm here to get my schedule, I gave my name then the staff gave me the schedule. I said thank you and wave at Kai before leaving the office.

If my dad didn't switch me and Fiona, this wouldn't happen. I would already be hanging out with my friends and probably talk about boys or anime, even thou I'm not quite an Otaku. And I would be in my classroom in no time. I know the school like the back of my hand.
