DON'T MESS WITH A NAVY GIRL

It's was a crisp summer morning in Norfolk. Life seemed pretty normal, just like the days before the virus apocalypse, the red rust and then the cyber attack in America. Tom Chandler had been in office for a couple of months and the implementation of some of his strategies seemed to work for the better. Food rationing and money withdrawal limits for normal households were also brought back as well as food stamps for those who struggled to survive on meager incomes. It seems like things really changed for the better to give those who struggled a fair advantage in life too. But yet, still there were those who deemed his policies unacceptable. But life in the United States seemed normal again just like the good old days before the virus. In the city centers people were sitting and dining at street cafes and buying food at mobile food stands. In the neighborhoods, people were walking their dogs, children were playing in the streets and neighbors were watering their gardens. One would hardly guess that before this every neighborhood was a hot zone for the red flu and the world was on the brink of starvation. Then came the cyber attack by the Colombians a few years later almost crippling the United States Defense Force. And then Tom took over the reins as the new President.

As usual Julia was taking her early morning run through the Norfolk city centre  close to a townhouse she shared with her husband, Connor Levine on the navy base. It was now her chance to redeem herself in the navy she was recently enlisted to for a second time.
