Chapter 2-Janessa's Point Of View

A/N: The underlined words are the present while the rest is flashback in Janessa's POV

-7th June 2019, 12:20am-

Janessa: Well... Back at Toys R Us... All of you were arguing so you didn't seem to notice...

-A few hours ago at ToysRUs in Janessa's POV-

The argument was getting more heated as time went on. I didn't know what to do! , I noticed that a bunch of stuff around us was... Floating?

Lim Ni: Wait wait wait... You're kidding right? Floating?

Janessa: Just hear me out okay?

Blind bags, toy guns, lego bricks, all surrounding the 3 arguing friends. Is this a dream? Are my eyes playing tricks on me? I rubbed my eyes to make sure this wasn't just my imagination, and, sure enough, all those gravity defying toys remained in the air.

We were in a corner of the store so i doubt anyone else noticed the phenomenon I was seeing. Could this be one of my friends' doing? I looked at each of my friends. Amanda was on tbe brink of tears, Lim Ni was looking away, clearly annoyed and Gracie... Are her eyes... Glowing?! Gracie's pupils had turned a yellowish gold colour and some sort of yellow aura was emitting from her eyes. And the look on her face... She wasn't annoyed or upset... She was angry. By this time, Lim Ni was on her phone avoiding eye contact with Gracie while the other two continued the argument.

Lim Ni: Huh, okay. So that's why you cried

Janessa: Wait, you believe me?

Lim Ni: Sure. It seemed dumb at first but the more I thought about it, the more it made sense

Janessa: What do you mean?

Lim Ni: Remember what happened while we were walking to Toys R Us?

Janessa: Oh yeah, that candy bar incident

Lim Ni: I think we all knew that what happened back then wasn't "just the wind"

Janessa: Yea, so what does that have to do with- Ohhh...

Lim Ni: Today was strange. First the candy bar abruptly changing direction, and then things floating?

Janessa: So what you're trying to say is Gracie has cool powers

Lim Ni: Well, it seems farfetched but-

Janessa: Considering I literally saw objects defy gravity, that doesnt seem THAT unbelievable

Lim Ni: Good point

Janessa: So what should we do?

Lim Ni: I don't know? Honestly, all this power stuff is kind of surreal, it's hurting my brain

Janessa: You're right, maybe we should just forget about all this and just get some sleep. Plus, we are meeting up again with Gracie, Klaudia and Sarah tomorrow

Lim Ni: Yea, let's just leave this to our future selves
