It's the next day and something feels off with damon i feel like he's hiding something from me but I I don't know what it is but I also don't think it's my place to ask just yet I mean we are getting to know each other, yes there's a connection there but I don't know I'm probably over thinking again I have tendency to do that as well so how am I supposed to know what i'm thinking or how I feel when I don't even know what to do??????
"Morning angel" damon says smiling
"Morning" i simply say making coffee
"What's wrong?" He asks
"Nothing, why? does something have to be wrong? I just woke up and I wanna make some coffee real quick before work is that okay with you?" I ask a little annoyance in my voice.
he furrows his brows "that's fine, make yourself at home okay?"
"yeah, yeah see you later after work okay?" I ask leaving.
Damon's POV
I think cassie is suspicious of me i really don't know what to think. I have not told her about the gang yet because she doesn't seem like the type of girl who would be all "ohhh he's in a gang that's awesome who are we killing next" I shake my head wow even I thought that was cringe and really really weird sounding coming from someone like me I shake the thought out of my head as Jake enters my office seemly happy for god knows why probably some skank at the bar or one of my night clubs.
"Hey boss!" Jake beams
"Hey" i simply say with a stern expression on my face.
"What's wrong?" He asks
I explain what happened with cassie this morning and he nods his head thinking about the situation.
"Yeah, she sounds suspicious you'd better tell her before she finds out from someone else" jake says
"What if she leaves me? How can i tell her that after what she's been through?" I ask
"She will understand she might need time but at least you were honest with her right?" He asks
"Yeah i guess" i say sighing
Cassie's POV
I just got off work and i have a voicemail from emma
Emma[voicemail]: we did some research on damon and he's a gang leader! Call us when you can
I look at my phone shocked but put it away because I'm driving and don't need a ticket for that shit fuck that haha.
Once i arrive home i sit my bag down and look for damon
"DAMON!" i scream
*no answer*
"DAMON!" i scream once more
*No anwser again*
"DAMON UNDERWOOD!" i scream
He runs out of the bathroom in a towel "what's wrong angel?" He asks being sweet
{Damn, this is making it harder for me to be mad but I can't lose my train of thought just because he's half naked fuck! cassie remember why you are mad at him don't focus on that right now for fuck sakes!!} I think to myself. Once I have cleared my head and got my thoughts together to yell I do just that.
I cross my arms "YOUR A GANG LEADER??" i scream
He sighs and sits on the couch i stand over him with my arms still crossed and my foot tapping away on the floor.
"I'm sorry, i didn't tell you but I've been apart of it since i was 17 years old it's a family tradition my father was a gang leader and his father before him" he says
"Why didn't you tell me?" I ask
"Because i was afraid you'd leave because you'd think I'm a killer" he says
"I don't think that it's just shocking" i say sitting down on the couch next to him but a few inches away from him.
"How did you find out?" He asks
"Emma told me she did research on you" i say looking around awkwardly
"Did you know about the research?" He asks sounding hurt and sad like.
"I didn't, i was at work she called me and left a voicemail" i say
He nods "so what now? He asks
"Now I'm gonna need sometime to process all of this" i say
He nods "take all the time you need I'd wait forever if that's what it takes"
I giggle "it won't take that long"
"I'm just letting you know I'll wait if it does" he says smiling
"I know Damon, and whatever this is between you&I I wanna put it on hold til I figure my feelings about this out I hope you understand" I say flat out
He nods "take all the time you need as I said but i'd prefer it if you stayed here at least in a room to yourself until you figure us out because I don't wanna risk luke finding you" he says
"that's fine, and once I have gotten my head on straight for once we can pick this up again and maybe go on some real dates hmm?" I ask
he chuckles "of course, and I'll call Justin right now to let him know about the changes"
