“Remus! Virgil! Come here now!” Damien hissed out. Someone had spilled orange juice all over the ground, not bothering to even try and clean it up. He was tapping his foot, trying to stay calm...well calmer than now at least. Both boys came running out, a toddler and  ten year old. 

Virgil, the toddler, was 4 years old and currently wearing a purple sweater that was slightly too small and some jeans that were too big. He couldn’t meet his dad’s eyes. He looked down at the ground, wanting more than anything to just go back to his room. “H-hi daddy,” he mumbled.

The ten year old, on the other hand, was Remus. He wore a bright green t-shirt and black skinny jeans. He smirked at his dad. “You called for us, Dad?” he asked, acting innocent in all this.

Damien glared at the two. “Who spilled the orange juice? And don’t even try lying, I know for a fact one of you did it, because I didn’t.” He looked between both boys, seeing Virgil looked scared. “V, I’m not angry,” he sighed out. “I’m slightly annoyed that whoever did it didn’t tell me or clean up the mess.”

Virgil ran to Damien, hugging him. “I pwomise i-it wasn’t me, Daddy…” he sniffled, clinging to Damien.

Remus raised his hand. “I spilled it, Dad. I was gonna come clean it up, but VV needed help getting dressed and you were busy.” He had a slightly sorry tone, but that was about the best you’d get from Remus.

Damien nodded. “It’s ok, like I told Virgil, I’m not mad. Just please clean it up, Patton is bringing Logan and Roman over ro hang out, and I don’t want him seeing a mess.”

Remus nodded and instantly went to get the mop. He started cleaning the mess up, knowing that if he didn’t, Damien would actually get angry, and he didn’t want to see that.

Damien sighed, “C’mon, Virge. Let’s go get you something a little more comfortable, ok?” He stood, holding the toddler in his arms as he walked. “And Remus, change your jeans. Those things are way too tight, kid.”

“Yessir,” came the exasperated sigh from the kitchen. Damien just rolled his eyes, going to Virgil’s room.

He sat the toddler on his bed. “Ok, let’s get some clothes that fit, huh kid?”

Virgil nodded, smiling. He watched as Damien got out a deep purple t-shirt and some leggings for Virgil. The four year old preferred leggings since they were a lot more comfortable. He smiled as his dad tossed him the clothes. Virgil instantly undressed, getting the more comfy ones on.

Damien smiled down at him. “Ok kid, let’s go see if Remus is done then I’ll start on lunch. Sound good?”

Virgil grinned, “Mmhmm!” He held up his arms in order to be picked up by his dad, who obviously obliged. Damien just couldn’t say no to his son’s sweet little grin.

The two went out to the living room, seeing Remus sitting on the couch watching TV. “Did you get everything cleaned up, Rem?”

Remus looked over. “Yup, and I put the mop head in the washer, it was sticky.” He went instantly back to watching the TV, his favorite show was on.

Damien nodded, “Ok, can I trust you to watch Virgil while I make lunch? I have to use the stove and I don’t want little hands wandering.” He tickled Virgil as he said this, making the toddler giggle.

Remus turned down the TV, smiling. “Yup!” He honestly loved watching his little brother, though Remus would never admit it aloud. He got up and walked over, taking Virgil from Damien and blowing a raspberry on the kid’s stomach.

Virgil tried pushing out of Remus’s arms, laughing. “No! Rere no!” he giggled out. Virgil squirmed down, running out of the room with Remus chasing him.

Damien shook his head with a smile. He loves being a dad. Sure it had downsides, never really having alone time was a big one. But at the end of the day, his kids were the most precious thing in the world to him. Damien wouldn’t change a thing.

Ok! So I had planned on putting in Patton bringing Logan and Roman over, but I wasn’t sure if you’d wanna see that. Let me know if you want me to do it!
