Michael:
I pulled up to Luke's house and saw him standing on the sidewalk. I pulled in next to him and parked the car.
~
"Hey Michael." Luke said getting into the car.
~
Confused, I didn't take my seat belt off.
~
"Are we going somewhere?" I asked.
~
"Michael I have to tell you something." He said not looking up from his lap.
~
"What about?" I asked still very confused.
~
"Drive a few blocks up the street and then make a left turn on Heimer." He said buckling his seat belt.
~
I completely trusted Luke, so I did what he said.
~
"Why are you in front of the royals house." I asked watching Luke get unbuckled.
~
Luke got out of the car and walked around to my side opening the door for me.
~
"Luke, I'm confused." I admitted getting out of the car and watching him slam the door shut behind me.
~
"Michael, this is-" Luke hesitated looking away from my eyes.
~
I quickly pieced together what was going on.
~
He was Luke fucking Hemmings. The fucking air to the thrown. I fell for a goddamn prince, literally. How could I have been so stupid?
~
"You live here." I said with a blank expression on my face.
~
"You live here, and I'm a fucking idiot." I said feeling Luke's eyes shoot back at my direction.
~
"No, Michael, you're not an idiot." He said tearing up.
~
"Please just give me a chance to explain." He begged, tears flowing down his cheeks.
~
"You can come inside if you want-"
~
"Me, come inside? A fucking peasant like me? Is that how you view Me, and Ashton, and Calum?" I snapped cutting him off.
~
"No it's not like that I promise!" He cried.
~
His tears were sincere and of course I believed him but I felt sickened.
~
"Luke this is over whelming." I said my voice cracking, trying my hardest not to cry at the site of his tears.
~
Luke dropped to his knees crying in pain.
~
"Please can we talk like normal people?" He sobbed.
~
"I'm not sure what normal is anymore." Luke cried out.
~
"And I'm scared of this life." He said not taking his eyes off the pavement.
~
I picked Luke up and wrapped my arms around him as he burrowed his crying eyes into my shoulder.
~
I couldn't stand to see him cry. It hurt so bad. I could feel my heart breaking for him.
~
"Let's go inside just please stop crying Lukey." I said as tears streamed down my face.
~
He took my hand and walked me to the front door.
~
"I just wanted you to like me for who I am and not what I have." He said opening the door.
~
The house opened to a big foyer. The floors were white granite and twin stairs curved along each side of the room.
~
"Hello Mr. Hemmings, can I get you and your guest any beverages?" A man wearing a tux said as we walked into the mansion.
~
"I've known you my whole life Carlton, call me Luke. Or princess bubblegum." Luke said with a smile.
~
"You want something do drink Michael?" Luke asked looking over towards me.
~
I was shocked. I was stuck in a trance I felt so out of place but yet with him, he made me feel like I belonged and believe me I so totally did not belong.
~
"Oh, no thank you." I said snapping out of it.
~
"Luke is that you dear?" A women called from up stairs.
~
"Yes Mother, I've brought a friend over to help me with my studies." Luke said in a formal manner.
~
"A friend? I must see this friend of yours!" She said walking down the stairs with excitement in her step.
~
"Mum we will be in my room if you need us." He said taking my arm and running up the stairs.
~
"Make sure to tell him that his hair is off colored sweety!" She called from the bottom of the stairs.
~
"Mum! -I am so sorry Michael." Luke said opening his bedroom door.
~
"She gets a little excited at the mention of friends." Luke shamefully admitted plopping down on his bed.
~
"I um, so yeah this is my house." Luke said casually, probably hoping that I would jus brush it off and go along with the fact that he is the air to the mother fucking thrown.
~
"You're not saying anything?" Luke questioned.
~
"I just don't know what to say." I blankly stated.
~
"You lied to me about who you are, where you're from, and you're probably lying to me about something else too. What is this some kind of prank?" I asked in an angry tone.
~
"Is this just some kind of game to you? Have you done anything like this before? I feel like an idiot Luke." I said turning away from him and facing the door.
~
"No Michael it's not a game to me I swear." He said, his voice starting to shake.
~
"It's more real than any dream I've ever had about being with someone like you." He said tearing up.
~
"I just hate this life."
~
"You? Hate this life?" I interrupted.
~
"I would kill for a life like this. People who have to respect you! I don't even know what it's like to know people who think you actually matter! You were born with a purpose Luke. I would kill to know where my life is headed!" I shouted.
~
"Oh and you think my life is simple?" He shot back.
~
"This is why I didn't want anyone's to know!" He cried.
~
"People just automatically assume that because I have money I'm happy, and have a perfect life. My sister killed herself because she was so scared of this life that I am now headed for!" He shouted, tears now painfully flowing down his cheeks.
~
"Money doesn't buy happiness! It just distracts you from the real horrors of reality!"
~
"I'm sad Michael!" He continued to scream.
~
"I'm sad because I finally get a chance to breath." He said calming down.
~
"Michael you're like a breath of fresh air and I can't get enough of you."
~
"And when I can't see you it's like my lungs are being filled with water and I can't breath. You're all money can't buy." Luke said as I desperately tried to find something to say.
~
"I just- I need time to think Luke. I'll see you some another time. I just need to calm down." I said shutting the bedroom door behind me and running to my car.
