Michael:
I woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of footsteps.
"Luke?" I mumbled patting the empty space next to me.
I looked at my phone. It's was 4 am.
The sun was peering over the balconies edge to reveal Luke standing up. He was swaying gently with the breeze.
"Luke come back to bed." I said sitting up.
He didn't answer.
I got up and walked over to him.
"Luke-" I cut my self off looking at his face. His eyes were shut.
"I- just forgot." Luke mumbled slurring his words.
"Forgot what?" I asked quietly enough so that I would startle him if he woke up.
I slowly walked him over back to the bench and lied him down, this time he was on the inside.
"I can't tell you Mikey." He spoke up, still slurring his words. He woke up as soon as he said that.
"Wait were we just talking?" He asked coming out of hazy dream state.
"You were talking in your sleep Lukey." I smiled sitting down next to him.
"I had the craziest dream Mikey." He said scratching his cheek.
"What was it." I giggled.
He looked up at me, our eyes meeting for only a second until he looked away at the ground.
"I- um, I forgot it." He said avoiding eye contact.
"You were standing over there having a full on conversation with me Luke," I said crossing my arms.
"I know you remember."
"But I can't-" I cut him off.
"You can't what? Tell Mikey?" I said my voice cracking a bit.
"Mikey I don't remember, I just want to fall asleep with you in my arms. You're like a cute little kitten." Luke said grabbing me and pulling me closer so that I was lying down next to him.
"I am not a kitten." I said cuddling into his chest decided to let what ever he was keeping from me go.
"No you're my kitten." Luke said kissing my forehead.
"Luke," I said looking up trying to look past his chin.
"Yes Mikey." Luke responded his voice soft and quiet.
"What do you do when you can't fall asleep?" I asked tracing circles into his chest.
"I snort cocain and wait until I crash." Luke blatantly said smirking, eyes still closed.
"Oh my god stop!" I laughed lightly hitting his chest.
"I'm serious." He said.
Luke grabbed me by my sides and pulled me closer.
"Put your ear up to my chest." Luke said.
I snuggled up to him and did what he said.
"Jane and I did this when we were kids, just listen to the vibrations." He said as he began humming a lullaby to me.
"Wait one second." I said getting up and kicking the floor making the bench rock back and fourth.
I quickly snuggled up to his chest and let the vibration of his voice lul me to sleep.
