If I could write one thing to you
I'd tell you that I loved when we laughed
That your smile burns bright in my mind,
That I was always good with words
Just couldn't find a rhyme to describe you
I'd tell you that you were worth every sacrifice
I'm not the blameless victim
I just ignored the signs
I'd tell you
When I stare at the moon
I'll always be thinkin' of you
I'd tell you when my mind is angry
And red taints my world at your name
I'll always think of what we were
and I'll remember you that way
Thank you for the lessons
And the love we shared
hope you're somewhere smilin'
Happy as can be
Gotta keep looking forward
