Ajmal's POV

I will never forget the day I first met my mum and hated my father and grandma the most

Five years ago (when she was twelve)

I could never forget when I asked my father why he hated me so much and calling hajia a monster ,they both just stood there knowing they where wrong .

I remember it? Like it happened a few seconds ago

FIVE YEARS AGO

Everybody was moving from one place to another to set the preparations for Henna's birthday party ,while I was just busy looking at them .

"Ke go and ask hajia where she dropped the money for the caterers " Aunty Aisha Told me

I went looking for hajia until I saw her with baba in her parlor when she saw me she looked like she has seen a ghost

"Hajia and baba good afternoon aunty Aisha told me to ask you where you dropped the money for the caters
" hmm...take this that's the money now go and give it to her and change, the party is about to start ".she said nervously

In my whole life I've never seen hajia like this fah She always looks so calm and reserved

"Ke ajmal go and change or do you wanna look homeless for the party " baba asked me in a childish voice
I walked out of hajias room to go and look for aunty Aisha to give the money too
" Aunty this is what hajia gave me "
Giving the money to her and went to my room to change
"Ajmal , Ajmal " I heard aunty Fatima shouting my
name
"Am in my room ya Fatima ( uncle umars wife )" (she insisted on everyone to call her ya instead of Aunty saying she's to young to be an aunty to big girls like us (

She entered my room and said " Ajmal show me what you are wearing today " I showed her

then she said" haba ajmal this dress,  you want people to be saying your aunt doesn't take care of you " she said teasing me
She opened a paper bag that was in her hand
And brought out a box " take it and try the dress let's see if it's fits " she told me while smiling
I tried it and it look beautiful on me
" oya remove it so I can give it to the owner she  " she said
I stared removing it while frowning

" Kai this girl is a mumu who's dress is if it's not yours ,my friend will you wear this quickly and come downstairs "she said laughing
"Ya thanks so much"
" don't even thank me you have to pay " she said pointing at her chicks then I kissed them and told her thanks again
Hmmm
"Oya let's go before kaka starts shouting " she said I don't even know why she calls hajia kaka but Sha it's funny and hajia Hates the name but what can she do it's ya Fatima we are talking about
We went to our backyard where the party was  taking place and the party started then I noticed I haven't seen henna all day
The mc announced that everyone should be seated and me and ya Fatima went to go and find good seats . She didn't really have many friends but she got along with everyone ,according to her every one is too fake
when everyone was seated henna arrived with aunty Aisha holding her hand I noticed she was wearing a dress like mine .
Then they turned the music back on and every body started dancing and taking pictures with henna .when the party was finally over I wanted to go back to my room but hajia stopped me in the way t
"Ajmal where are you going ,....mmmmmmm, don't go inside Dan Allah I want Fati to take you and henna for ice cream ,so go and look for her bah " she told me while looking up and down like a thief
" hajia I will look for her but first I have to pee "
" you can pee at the ice cream shop go and look for her and Come here let me go and get henna " she said shouting
I quickly went to go and look for ya Fatima
" ya Fatima hajia is life looking for you "
" what happened"
" she wants you to take us to go and get ice cream "
" kk, let's go but why do you look frightened ne "she said observing me
" hajia seems angry "
" oya lets go and see " she said holding my hand
" yauwa Fatima take these children for ice cream kanji" she said still looking frightened
" toh lets go "
We entered aunty Fatima's car and drove to the nearest ice cream place
We entered and ordered the ice cream 
" girls should we do take away or eat it here " Fatima asked us
" I think we should do take away " henna said
" you fah " ya Fatima asked me then I nodded in agreement
Then we drove back home
When we heard shouting which was very rear in our house because nobody ever shouts that loud while hajia is around
" Ke hajia or whatever your name is give me my child , or Allah you shall see"  a  strangers voice shouted
" Kai ABBA bring my child out fah , am not joking ,where is she ?you can't do this " she screamed
" calm down ajike this is not the way fah , please go back home and we will discuss this in a civil way please " baba said calmly
" which civil way , are you and your mother even human just bring out my child or we are going to court today " she warned baba
When me and we opened the door to our house we saw a tall black skinned woman shouting
" haba ajike please, dan Allah go I don't want her to find out like this , please go how much to you need what do you want , abba I told you not to marry this woman , you went to go and marry her see the out come "hajia said crying
"Nobody is like you , i can't simple be bought with money . what I what is my daughter " she said
I was confused at this point was this woman crazy or what
Baba just automatically froze when he saw me then Fatima entered the room she stayed back to get something from her car
" henna go with Fatima to your room please "baba said
" which room , abba or what ever you are called ,me  am here for my daughter not for fatma to take her to her room" she said
At this point I did not know how to react , I felt confused and betrayed
" henna how are you "ajike said
"Henna I'm   your mother,Believe me I've been looking for you this monsters kept you away from me , Allah I have been please believe me and you don't have to worry you will never see them again we can live together alone please " she said I could see tear drop coming out from her eye one by one
" baba is this true you told me my mother died  when I was 4 and all her pictures mistakenly got burnt " I asked him trying my best not to cry
He was speechless
" subhanallahi, wai you two are really devils you took me away from my daughter ,lied to her and even faked my death , this woman you are truly a witch " my mother said looking at hajia and baba
" ajike please keep quiet " baba said
" any way I did not come here for chit chat am here to get my daughter you hear, you will see my lawyer Tomorrow I swear you will all suffer before I die " she said
And that is how I first met my mother
" baba why do you hate me please why , you are all monsters " I told my baba and hajia
That's how I met my mother

Kai who is this ajike and why does she scare hajia ?
Why did they lie about her death ?
What separated ajike and abba?
Do we still like hajia ?
Team ajike or hajia ?(am team ajike all the way😉😉
