I offer you my utmost pleasantries at this time. How have you been, friend? I reckon you're still alive; mayhap still living the rest of your days as a porter? 🤔 Or have you chosen the isolated life of a prepper? You are too free, too intelligent to lock yourself away like that. I remember the itch that was unscratchable inside my abode.
Did I scare you into hiding? For a while, it seemed you disappeared off the face of the Earth. I wished to reconnect sooner, but I'm a busy man, and circumstances would not allow it. Porters could never say where the girl with pink boots ran off to. Perhaps you did die! Body burned and forgotten, and no family to mourn. I wonder if my daddy, my real daddy, and mama would grieve over my situation if still alive. 😢
I'm stranded here, alone, on the Beach. 🐋 There's nothing here except the rotting carcasses of crustaceans and large sea mammals. It's not perfect, but it's my Beach. The same itch I had when I was younger, living with my daddy underground, is back. It's an eternal, unbearable pain, and I see no future of it stopping. I'm both metaphorically and powerless here. 🙁
I hope you'll find it in your heart to reach out to me. There are no tricks or deceits here and no walls to keep up. I'll be an open book for you if you're so curious. Perhaps you'll catch up with me, as it's been quite a while.

Welcome to my new little story! It's not a traditional Higgs x Reader (obviously), but I hope it piques your interest enough :)
This story picks up sometime after Higgs is stranded on the Beach and will have a slight AU in the later chapters. [Edited to remove the obnoxious emojis since my memory thought Higgs used a mind-numbing amount of them. It read like a bad copypasta before, but it's fixed now!]
