Brielle

Knowingly that Chris was sick I wasn't going to leave his side until I knew he was better or at least he told me he was good again. He slept the entire night but I had to take care of something in the morning. In the middle of the night I eased myself from out his grasp and went home, I had to go send out my transcripts to this nursing school I'm going to. My life isn't exactly planned out the way I want it to be, for years I felt it in my heart that I wanted to be a motivational speaker or something close to that but I had a change of thought. As of now I want to move towards something with children. I have all my life to do what I really want to do. but for now I want to do something that comes second in my dreams.

While I was in college I took different courses like sociology, anatomy, and psychology that reflect in the careers I would want look into after I graduated. I summed it up and figured why not go into Pediatrics, I love kids and I just want to branch into something that's going to put a smile on to someone's face whether it be with my words or skills I'll be happy with it.

After that was taken care of I went out pumpkin picking with my dad, we took hay ride together and had a long talk together.

"Your graduation is coming up, what's your plans after school?"

"Going straight back to school, I decided I'm going with the nursing thing." I said as we sat on back of the hayride truck.

"What I can't wait for is to tell people, my only baby got her first associate degree in science! That's my smart ass baby girl right there!"

"Really dad?" I laughed.

"I'm really proud of you Brielle, I know growing up I was hard on you at times but it was because I love you and I didn't want you to fuck your life up. Like some of your friends out there! You'll find out how hard is it, when you have kids that it is difficult to steer them down the right path. Sometimes they going against you because they don't know better, especially with girls. When you raise boys it's so much easier but with you I was scared, but you're a good kid I handled it like a pro." Pops gloated.

I laughed, "Thank you daddy."

"I'll always make time for you, whenever you need me."

"Mommy is never around when we have our talks like this, she's either working or you reach out to me before she does. I wish she could've came and heard all this, she would've loved it."

"But it's nice we get our farther daughter times in, I want you to be able to tell me things you would usually tell her . . . Like for instance who do you like?"

"No one," I smiled.

He nudged my arm, "Come on you can tell me."

"Seriously no one, I don't have the time or the patience. But there was this one guy, you would have loved him.

"Ahh, there we go keep going tell me about him."

"Not much to say, he was nice, cute, smart, and a pure gentlemen."

"Why the hell didn't you bring him home so I could meet him?"

I laughed. "Cause, I wasn't feeling him. He has to be right for me too, he just wasn't interesting enough for me. I want someone with a little more excitement then what he had."

He sighed. "Whoever you chose just don't let that nigga play you out, let his ass know I got my gun in the closet and I only use it for special occasions."

I laughed. "I will, I will."

"Aight rides almost over, let's go home now. Your mother said she'll make pumpkin pie with these pumpkins we got."
