you might think,
that a girl with words
dripping from the tip of her tongue
would be more poetic,
more profound,
more understanding.
but when you live in a universe,
created from
purposefully placed punctuation;
forged relationship
made from the impossible;
teasing smiles of perfection;
and the romanticized language of love,
living a normal life
seems harder than ever before.
speaking those words
you crafted onto pages of your soul
seems impossible and frightening.
and feeling empathy
for people you don't know
their every thought and move to
becomes difficult,
because it's unpredictable and scary.
so even though they know
every word in the dictionary,
and can branch feeling
through a simple set of words,
living isn't quite as luxurious
as the stories they make up.
