Hug of Solitude

Too much to ask for, a hand or a hug,
For this lonely person who has never known love.
Outcasted, pushed aside, a sadness we don't know
As we live under the comfort of a loved one.
What does it take to be the same as you?
Looking at the people, this man wonders.
He's no different from those or them
Yet here he is, alone and mad.
All he wants, it's not much at all,
A sign of affection to fill his heart.
He'll feel the warmth of the sun at last
And he'll be happy and escape from the past.
