Warm sunshine, coating the world in everlasting glow,

A breeze so light a feather could hold it off,

Alone I stand, a midpoint between two gate posts,

Jeans on my waist, leather boots upon my feet,

Energy, pure excitement, pure anxiety, pure fear,

Coursing throughout my veins,

The gate opens. Two men stand,

A man in uniform, and a man with a smile so wide,

Another Earth could fit inside,

But it is no match for my smile, so wide it hurts,

But I can't stop, it all rushes out,

Tears race down my cheeks, joy,

My heart cannot beat faster,

My brother,

Is free.
