Words have power, people tell me

Yet I never have a reason to speak them

Words can help you see

Yet I am blind to those I condemn

A picture's worth is a thousand words

Yet I feel many pictures are empty

A skeleton as light as a birds

These words they make me so testy

A world of words is deafening

And yet I must continually be asked to speak

And I find that they hardly are listening

A world of nothing holds no mystique

So I find no reason for talk

Nothing but worthless flash and gleam

Silence is more a passion to unlock

I claim my title, The Silent Stream
