I waited outside Rihanna's place to walk with her for breakfast. It had become a daily routine after we returned here.

My thoughts wandered off to my sister. She had tried to kill herself back then. I was worried about her. I wanted to get back to her, but it wouldn't do us any good. So I might as well finish things here first.

I stared at a cat that slept on the boundary of the home on the opposite side. It woke up, stretched its body and opened its mouth wide for a yawn. Then it walked around a little, only to sprawl back on the floor again. I chuckled.

Totally Alice. Idiot.

Something was going on. They hadn't included me, but I was going to get it out of them.

The main door yanked open, and Rihanna hopped outside. She looked a little different that day, But I couldn't point it out properly. She came closer and greeted me, her smile contagious.

I smiled back at her, but that was when I noticed, she was looking directly back at me, her beautiful black irises reflecting my image. Her eyes were open, unlike other days, and she wasn't carrying her blind stick.

"What's up with your face?" She giggled. "You look like you just saw a ghost."

I look like?

I waved my hand before her, and she slapped it away.

"What?"

"You can see?"

"Uhhh Newsflash, I have eyes." She retorted.

No, no, no, no, no, no! Am I going crazy? Is this a dream?

I pinched my cheek and then flinched.

It's not.

"You- how can you see? What happened?"

"Alex, are you alright?" She took another step in my direction and touched my head. "It doesn't look like a fever."

I stepped away from her.

"Who are you?" I cried. "Rihanna was supposed to be blind. I know she was until last evening. What happened then?"

"Alex, I have never been blind." She said, placing her hands on my shoulders.

"Then what does Mrs Calloway look like?" I asked her about our homeroom teacher.

"She has... she, she has a sweet voice, and..." she stammered, took a step back and placed a hand over her eyes. "I-I don't- I don't remember. I know her-I just- I can't pull up her face in my head."

I knew something was up. Something happened last night. I pulled out my phone to look for Riannon's number.

"I'll call up Riannon. She might know something."

She gave me a puzzled look.

"Who?"

"Riannon," I answered as I typed her name in my contact list, but it turned up empty.

"Who is Riannon?" She asked, and I glanced up at her, confused.

"Riannon, your sister? Come on, Rihanna. This is no time to joke!"

"But I don't have a sister!"

This story is the closest to my heart because I started writing it when I was fourteen. I tried drawing a manga (Japanese comic) for it as well but gave up after the sixth chapter. Got pulled into studies and stuff. I decided to rewrite it when I recently started using Wattpad again. This story is my most precious baby.
