The cover was first going to painted with a dragon and a beautiful background. But I decided to change that.

This is the first page in the sketchbook

This is the first page in the sketchbook. It's always been a habit for me to decorate the first page like this. But I feel that the page still needs more in it. It looks too scarce. If you notice that piece of paper covering some of the orange flowers, that was used to cover my name.

Here's a close up of the gray blob from the first page

Here's a close up of the gray blob from the first page. It's really hard to get the entire page to fit and get the detail of the stuff on the pages as well.

so this ended up looking like a female Harry Potter. It is not exactly like his face but the glasses made me feel that. So I added the lightning bolt of the other side of the head.

This was my thumbnail page for what I should do with the cover

This was my thumbnail page for what I should do with the cover. I had several ideas but I really wanted to do a dragon. And that half painted dragon was what was going to be on the cover. I just really wanted to use my metallic blue paint for something. Then, I figured if I wanted to paint it so badly I could just paint it on a separate canvas.

This pages was going to be completely full of Skyrim doodles but I lost motivation after the first one.

The top left is a dragon priest with its mask. I think. I'm not completely sure but I know they float and carry a staff. That's the only thing I could think of in Skyrim.

The rest of the doodles are my own. The two boxes are thumbnails to draw a full length dragon. The pages in the sketchbook together would make for a great big scene or dragon. I swear I will do either in this sketchbook before I finish it.

This pages started with wanting to draw a dress style

This pages started with wanting to draw a dress style. I don't know why but I liked the way it looked. Granted I made the skirt stretch longer than the actual picture, but it came out really nice. The other stuff I added to try and keep my hand loose.

Now the dinosaur has a reason. I have seen a lot of artists who use dinosaurs for the base of their dragons. They look really nice and I couldn't understand how they got them to look that way.

Well until I realized they used dinosaurs as a base then add horns and other embellishments to make it look like a rough and tough dragon. My problem is that I haven't draw a dinosaur since I was a kid. So I gave it a swing.

I might try this idea though.

Now this is a work in progress. This is the beginning of me trying to adapt to different sized papers and fill in the space. But I have a lot of details to add.

I will take any updated pictures later and upload them. Dates from December 26, 2019 to January 12, 2020.
