Chapter Two

Through the open window birds trill, their song bringing a smile to her face as she stretches, eyes slowly opening toward the sun that brought her a day she was never promised yet was glad to see. She allows the moment to sink in, soothe her from her core right out to where the nascent rays touch her skin. Taehyung sleeps soundly beside her, silver hair falling haphazardly across his eyes and she slowly brings her fingertips to his lips.

"So beautiful." She whispers, tracing the curves and blushing at the memory of them exploring every inch of her body the previous evening. They did eventually talk, both of them expressing how sorry they were about losing their temper.

"You're so stupid." Taehyung had smirked, fingertips dancing along the curve of her spine. "You know I would never be interested in her, you're my mate and the only person I want to be with."

"I know, it was just jealously which is ridiculous because there's no need for me to feel that way but I couldn't help it. I just feel so overwhelmed, everything has happened so quickly and I'm still running to catch up." Y/N was sprawled out on her front, nipples still sensitive as they brushed against the sheets. Taehyung was propped up on his elbow at her side, fingers now exploring the small of her back.

"I know baby, please don't let it upset you anymore. It's the same for me too, I'm trying my hardest to be brave but I'm so terrified of not only losing you but my pack too. The moment I spotted Samuel with you...I just lost it, Sobyeol took over. I've never known him to be so angry, it was difficult to keep my shift under control and if Jimin and Jungkook weren't there, I'm honestly afraid of what could've happened. Sobyeol doesn't think much when he's that consumed with anger and so I don't either, I say and do things that I don't always mean and so I'm sorry babygirl. What I said to you was way out of line, please forgive me."

Y/N shifted, mirroring Taehyung's position.

"I forgive you so long as you forgive me for overreacting like I did, I know you would never do anything to intentionally hurt me."

Taehyung gave a nod, large hand caressing her thigh.

"Tomorrow Namjoon is going to hold a pack meeting, he wants you to be there too."

"What do you think he's going to discuss?" Y/N shivered as Taehyung moved his hand around to gently squeeze behind her knee.

"We need to plan, come up with a way to take down Hunter and his pack. I think he'll also want to discuss Samuel, what steps we need to take with him." Taehyung's eyes drop to her exposed chest, to the swollen nipples his mouth had teased only moments before.

"Enough talk about the meeting and Hunter. Tonight is about us, about me showing you just how sorry I am and how much I love you."

Y/N gasped as Taehyung lifted her leg, lips pressing kisses to the corner of her mouth.

"I love you too" Y/N whimpers, nails running across his shoulders as he slowly eases himself inside of her.
