Girl & Boy

I'll tell you all a story,

About the boy with sad in his eyes,
Who flew from the shadows to the skies,
Who reached inside his brain and yanked the stars and constellations out,
For others to stare up at the night and wonder how they came about,

I'll tell you all a tale,

About an unreachable girl stood up on the cliff,
So far away, out of reach, she was almost like a myth,
She with the chocolate eyes but caramel mind,
The boy seemed miles behind,

As the days crept by,
The girl conversed with family and friends, but she didn't turn a blind eye,
To the boy, who cried in silence and often, away he snuck,
To an isolated place, waiting on luck,

Then the girl found a boy by the name of Mark,
And her dreams of love were even more stark,
At least, she thought they were,
But she'd later find, they were no more than a blur,

The boy and her broke up, and for a long time,
The girl didn't see the world in beauty, roses and rhyme,
She escaped for a couple months, because she needed to be alone,
When she returned, she was greatly surprised, for the boy had grown,

He still held sadness in his eyes, and shadows in his heart,
But he'd gotten much better, and with it, he'd make a new start,
She was happy to see this improvement, and she talked to him for a while,
And they instantly clicked, like a key in the jamb; she couldn't hold back her smile,

Then Mark came back and she found herself falling again,
And for a second, he wiped away all the rain,
But she should've known, with him there could only be pain,
Because he left her again, but actually, this time, it wasn't the same,

Because of the boy, who had held her through thick and thin,
Who had taken her heart and made his way in,
Who lit up her world like a sun, brighter than bright,
And soon what was left, were only a few patches of night,

She was scared and she didn't know if the boy would want her,
His confession wasn't an event she'd expected to occur,
But there he was, heart in his hand,
Begging for her to understand,

And when she wrote the words, "I like you back,"
She whispered them aloud and nothing had seemed so pleasant to her ears,
Her problems which used to stack,
Well, for a moment, they disappeared,

It was just them, him and her, her and him, he and she, she and he,
And nobody else could've smiled as beautifully,
As the boy who she loved with all her heart,
But that is just the start,

I wrote this as a love letter because I want you to know,
That your smile is infectious, your heart is gold and your eyes seemed to glow,
You are beautiful, kind, amazing and you are what has been making my days,
You make me smile, laugh blush and cry, in all the best ways,

You are my sunshine, you are my world, you are my night and you are my day,
When you're by my side, I know I'll be okay,
You're my galaxy, all hues mixed up in gold, red and blue,
I just wanted to say, I love you,

Now that girl on the cliff has jumped into the sky,
Her hands are reaching upwards and her eyes seem to shine,
The boy with wings made of feathers and halo upon his head,
Reaches out his hand for the moon, but he takes hers instead,

They stare into each others eyes,
As a vortex of planets and dreams flash them by,
There love is forever and whatever comes in their way, they'll destroy,
And that is the tale of the girl and boy.

Authors note: I'm writing my story..about me and my love..but in poetry. Alot of things have happened, I can't tell anybody, I just feel so trapped, so I'll write it here..and though nobody cares and never will, I bet nobody will read it or even vote, here is my story. I hope you read on.
