Son of Fire

Chapter Thirty Three.

"Josh, what's wrong?" Audrey asked. She was now stood behind Josh, who was knelt down. Sword resting in his hand as his gaze was locked onto it.

"I... I know where I come from" He says as almost a whisper. "I.. I'm not from Auradon or the Isle. I was never born here".

"What do you mean?" She asked, a small bit of worry in her voice.

"I'm from the Dragon Empire." He tells her and her eyebrows raised in shock.

"What do you mean? How can that even be possible?"

"I guess I was taken to The Isle when I was a small child. But that's where I come from. And it's why I have these powers. I'm from the Dragon Empire" He tells her, then explains what he saw.

"But, how do you know you come from there?" She asks.

"When I saw the Dragon King. It felt... Familiar. Like I knew him. And I felt like I knew the land. I think the vision is from where they moved too. The part of its their destiny. I wasn't sure on though. But I feel it has something to do with their invasion of Regentara. Maybe the expansion was prophecised. I dont know." Josh sighs as he stands up, holding the blade tight in his hand. He couldn't explain what he felt but that it felt right to hold it. Like it belonged to him.

"Oh, that's a nice sword lad. Fit for a Cap'n" Harry says as him and Gil climb up to the platform.

"It's a Dragon Empire Sword" Josh tells them and their eyes widen slightly. "And I just found out I'm from there myself" He adds.

"So... Is that why you have fire powers?" Gill asked with a slightly vacant look.

"All signs point to that" Josh tells him and he nods. He shakes his head and then turns to Harry.

"We need to find where he's keeping the kids and set them free." Josh says and Harry nods, and he then turns back to Audrey. "You and Gil protect the area. If any stragglers come back, take them out" He orders. As she nods, Josh and Harry jump from the Platform and head off into the Factory.

The two were walking down the large hallway, which carried the sound of their footsteps well.

"So, Dragon Empire. Aye?" Harry asked as he cautiously looked around for any surprise attacks.

"Yup" He says as he spins around to ensure there was no attacks from behind.

"That's... Different" Harry replies.

"Does it bother you?" Josh asked sincerely and Harry stops in his track and sighs.

"Honestly it doesn't. You've proven yourself to be a good leader. Even with just one move on the Eternals. Not even Uma dared to do that. I don't blame her, she had good reason. She ran most of the Isle and didn't want to disrupt how things ran. But your showing your power on the Isle. Its a good move. And you're already showing that you have others interests at heart. You didn't have to save the lil' kiddies. But you are. So where you come from, doesn't matter. You're good with us, so I'm good with you." Harry tells him and Josh smiles as he puts his hand on Harry's shoulder.

"Thanks. It means alot, Harry." He smiles and Harry returns it with a nod.

"Then let's find these kiddies" Harry smiles and the two venture further into the Factory.

Not long after, they find a door at the end of the hallway. It was obviously used alot, as there were trail marks on the floor where the uneven door dragged against it. The two share a look and Harry nods at Josh's hand, and it quickly ignites with a flame, Josh's eyes barely changing colour. If so ever so slightly dark. Harry grabs the door and swings it open. Josh runs in first, the light from his flame lighting the room brightly, and in the corner the rattling of chains could be heard and whimpers of children. Josh walks slowly towards them.

"Hey, it's okay. We are not here to hurt you. We are here to free you. You will no longer be slaves to them monsters. They're gone now" Josh says softly, but they were still afraid. Their eyes wide with fear.

"Hey, kiddies. You know me right?" Harry says with equal softness as Josh. And the kids nod. "This is Josh. He's the leader of my crew. We came to free you. It's okay. You don't need to be afraid anymore" He smiles.

"Are the bad people gone?" One kid asks, their voice shaking.

"Yes. We got rid of the bad men. Do you know your way out?" Harry asks and they all nod.

"Then how about we get rid of them chains and you leave when your ready, yeah? You can see the light at the door. And if anyone gives you trouble, come to the Dock. We ain't gonna let you get hurt again. Okay?" He offers and they all nod. Josh leans forward and presses his hand agianst the chains, they glow orange before melting into molten pieces that fall to the floor. He unlinks all the kids and Harry nods at him and they leave the room.

"Not bad." Josh says and Harry nods.

"Yeah. I hope you don't mind me tellin' em to come to the Dock. Just, rather them feel they have somewhere to come too if they have trouble."

"No trouble at all, Harry. It gives them a sense of security. You did good, man." Josh compliments him and Harry smiles.

"Cheers Joshy." He winks and they head back to find Audrey and Gil.

The two come to main room of the building, Where Grant had created his throne and the two find Audrey and Gil by the large sliding door which was open. The two were leaned at either side of it.

"Hey, we freed them" Josh calls and the two turn with a smile.

"Aw. I'm glad they're free." Audrey smiles as she walks over and wraps her arms around Josh. Gil walks over and him and Gil fist bump.

"Well done, Joshy. You took out the Eternals. You're going to have a good rep as a leader soon." Harry tells him and Josh nods, Audrey spins to his side as his arm falls on his shoulder.

"Joshua, Son of the Dragon King." a voice calls from the shadow. Josh grabs his sword from a his back and pulls it out, Harry and Gil pull out their swords and Audrey pulls two knives hidden in her jacket.

"Whose there!" Josh yells, looking around for the origin of the voice. And from the corner, someone emerges. They wore a white leather outfit. With pouches and holsters covering it. Their face was covered with a mask that was attached to the hood.

"You best tell me who you are. I am not one to mess with" Josh threatens. The person was a woman, as he could tell from the chestpiece from the breasts. And in the centre of the chestpiece was a triskellion. The woman grabs her hold and brings it down, her red hair falls effortlessly with perfect curls. Her eyes were an intense blue. Almost white. Like lightning.

"My name is Anna. And I am your sister" She tells him, and the three turn to Josh with a shocked expression.

So. They liberated the kids, and Josh has a sister? Oooooo. You can probably guess who this might be. But if not, it will be explained next chapter. And Josh will have the sword as his now, and it could possibly have some cool side features. Hope you enjoyed!
