why am i not listening to you since the beginning?

i feel like a fool for not listening and now I lost my only best friend who truly ever wanted me

it hurts to see more couple pictures of you and that Lisa girl on your instagram as you even dared to post a couple rap

yet now i am getting better slowly thanks to new distractions of selling my shop to my brother so he could bring his culinary dream to become come true 

now i am entirely focused on getting my major in literature so i could become a songwriter as i just won a competition to submit a song for a temporary group that will definetely hit it big

currently i am at the beach with nothing but a carefree attitude to guide me

i saw Jennie with her boyfriend, Jungkook with you and Lisa as well

and of course Namjoon, the smart stranger who is someone who i value for explaining all my problems

i could rant for hours and he could solve my problems in minutes 

his handsome face had a smile which warmly invited me to join their little party which i enjoyed

i stopped seeing you as the one for me as that face morphed into Namjoon now

we sang a couple songs together and i am impressed with Namjoon's secret rapping ability that i previously didn't take seriously until now

i am content with my life now and i am definetely starting that band with Jennie and Lisa

yet i wonder how would our lives turn if i just listened to you
