For my whole third grade year, last year , I've been told I was stupid by all my class mates, just because I have autism. Well all but one classmate, but he never says anything anyway so that doesn't count. I'm not stupid I'm smart! Smarter than every one of them! I've done lots of research on my disability, and according to the internet, most kids with autism are smarter than others. It shows too! I'm only in fourth grade and my level of reading is Z yes Z. That's as high as it gets!
I hoped this year would be different for some dumb reason. Of course within the the first three minutes of arriving at school my hopes twisted and turned , like a snake chasing a feather that won't stop dancing.
It started with a push, then another a little harder. I kept walking faster toward the building.
"Hey stupid!"
"Why you so weird?"
"Hey! Ella-utistic!"
I know what your thinking, stupidest nickname ever! I know, I know, but everyone else seems to think its hilariously funny.
Four years ago, kindergarden, this would have brought me to tears, but now ,honestly I'm used to it.
